We stayed at Box Tree Cottage for 2 nights. It was perfect. An excellent base to explore the Cotswolds. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty and complete. Caroline and Richard were very helpful. Box Tree Cottage is in Taynton very near to Burford and about an hour to Oxford. The traffic to Oxford was bad... More

We spent 2 nights at Box Tree Cottage. The house and gardens are beautiful, located in a picture postcard village . Caroline and Richard went out of their way to assist us with our travel plans and make sure we had a great stay. Breakfast couldn't have been better and we were too full to eat much until dinner time.... More

Caroline gives her all in presenting a beautiful environment for all her guests! She has homemade shortbread cookies in your room for your daily tea preparation. Her breakfasts are English perfect with Richard preparing them...the table settings are fit for a Queen! The bedding and towels are of fine quality. The view from the windows are picture perfect. GREAT location... More

Picture postcard house in a picture postcard area, spotlessly clean, very pretty indeed, very pleasant and helpful hostess. Prices are similar to good Paris hotels, but the experience is worth it. I am not sure if I am in love with everything about Box Tree Cottage, or the Cotswold area in general, but I am definitely besotted with my wonderful... More

My husband and I stayed at Box Tree Cottage for two nights over the Easter weekend, and could not recommend it highly enough. Our room was beautifully decorated, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. So much nicer than a hotel! And the breakfast was delicious.

After staying in and around Burford for many years we have now found a truly delightful place to stay. Box Tree Cottage is beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were met by Caroline who provided a delicious afternoon tea and plenty of knowledge of the surrounding area. Our room was extremely comfortable with excellent en-suite facility, breakfast was... My husband & I spent two nights at Box Tree Cottage where we were welcomed with warm scones with raspberry jam & clotted cream. Our warm and cosy room was spotless with large comfy bed and en-suite shower room. Our hostess had also provided home made biscuits on our hospitality tray. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much... More

Everything about this place is perfect. From arriving on a winters afternoon and having a cream tea by a log fire, to a room that was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Finishing with a perfectly cooked breakfast. Caroline was very helpful with tips on where to go. What more could we ask for? maybe to stay longer!
