Just returned from a fabulous 3 night break with dinner at The Lamb Inn Burford. The food in the restaurant was of Michelin star quality. Throughout our stay the service was impeccable with great attention to detail. Great location in The Cotswolds for walks, or as a base to explore further afield. We will definitely return and would highly recommend... More

The Lamb is a lovely looking Cotswold inn on the edge of Burford. The interior is great, open fires, aged furniture and dog friendly. Staff are polite. All very welcoming We came for dinner on Bank Holiday Monday. It was not busy. Whilst there was nothing wrong with the food, it did not really match the venue. It was all... More

We were brought to the Lamb Inn on a lunch tour and as you can expect we were looking for wrapped sandwiches and a bottle of water. NOT!!!!! This was truly a pleasant and surprising experience. When we sat down the table was set as if royalty had arrived. The waiting staff immediately started to take our orders with choice... More

We first visited the Lamb Inn in 2010 when we stayed for 3 nights over the Christmas holiday. It was a wonderful experience and made the Christmas very special indeed, Since then, we have returned at regular intervals and have never been disappointed. The old Inn looked particularly pretty in May covered in a mass of wisteria and pink roses... More

Popped in here today whilst visiting Burford with Hubby and our dog as had seen on their website that they are dog friendly. we had the bar area to ourselves and found a nice table in the window. very friendly welcome, we ordered drinks and then ordered fish and chips. it arrived very promptly, presented very nicely, and was extremely... We stayed here booked direct with the hotel on a dinner, bed and breakfast in a superior room. The hotel is best described as small, stylish and oozes that special touch. There are several log fires burning within the lounge areas and was greeted in our room with a teddy bear on the bed with a birthday card from the... More

Comfortable and welcoming.the "Olde Worlde" ambiance that the English love. We have had regular lunches, and Sunday lunches there. Wood fires in the winter;what more could you want? Not overloaded when there are functions. . This tends to happen at the Baytree(same group, and 50 yards away).. Three car parks shared between the two hotels.

Went for lunch and waited 1.5 hours ! Staff attention and apologises woeful. Whilst we sat waiting we witnessed so many other people complaining about the delays. For the first time ever i was ready to walk out, but then it finally arrived....however not even worth the wait ! Food was poor. Tagliatelle very oily, and served barely warm. The... More

I hope you will accept my sincerest apologies and see this as an aberration in our performance. An individual error from a member of the team meant that your food order was not relayed to the kitchen. Although the responsible manager apologised for the delay twice he did not explain this to you. From awareness of this until arrival was... More

We stayed two nights for a friend's wedding nearby. Burford is one of the nicest small Cotswold towns and May is a good time to come as it is not too crowded with tourists. The Lamb is in a quiet street just off the High Street. The original building dates from 1402 so it is full of character. It has... More
