Stayed at The Lamb for Dinner B &B as a Birthday treat and was suitably impressed. Staff were excellent, very professional and the attention to detail was second to none. The food was really delicious and the best meal we've had out in a long time. Loved it! Thanks for a super stay, we'll be back.....

Very friendly staff in all areas, and very warm welcome. Shown to room, - gorgeous! Sloping floor, beams, low ceilings at points - which we thought we may bang heads on, but never actually did!! Homemade flapjack as a treat in the room on arrival, and full size Molten Brown toiletries - being a fan of these anyway it was... More

We received a very warm welcome to this delightful Inn. We enjoyed drinks in the olde worlde bar and then thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food served in the tastefully decorated restaurant. We wanted to watch the leadership debates and the team arranged for desserts to be served in our room (including a pre dessert taster) I am gluten free and... More

Had been advised to go here for dinner on our way back to London. What a delight! The Pub menu would not be out of place in most established restaurants (and there is a formal dining restaurant (different menu) as well. The Cod and the Duck were both fantastic - a real relaxing break, and in surroundings more than 500... More

The room was a decent size, nice finishes and luxurious accessories. Great location as a base for exploring the Cotswolds and Oxford, yet close enough to Heathrow to stay upon the night of arrival in the UK, after just 90 minutes of driving. Room rates are a good value, cannot say the same about the restaurant. Uninspired, especially considering the... More

We were staying at the adjacent hotel and decided to visit the Lamb Inn. The bar area was beautiful set out with a real welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very pleasant. We decided to eat via the bar menu. I had the sirloin steak which was cooked to my requirements however when the plate arrived it looked as though the... More

We booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package. Positive points: Very friendly, approachable and professional staff. Excellent standard of food served in the restaurant-way beyond our expectations. Negatives: Without doubt the most uncomfortable nights sleep ever experienced in a hotel due to the bed creaking loudly at even a hint of movement, including simply breathing. The shower was fitted with... More

Thank you for your review. I am very pleased to hear that so many aspects of your visit were above expectations. I am grateful for your comments left regarding your bed. The base had sustained some damage which I was unaware of. My last bedroom audit for the room you slept in was done a week before you slept in... More

This place is quintessential Cotswolds. From the moment you pull up to the beautiful hotel it's a delightful experience. The staff are fantastic and very welcoming. Bedrooms are delightful and full of character. There is various tea provided, a coffee machine with multiple coffee choices. A homemade flapjack was also provided and was a great touch. The toiletries are of... More

My partner and I had a wonderful nights stay here. The hotel was lovely and welcoming, and so were the staff. Our meal in the evening was superb, even down to the cheeseboard where we were given ten different cheeses, five local and five French, with their own "jelly" and crackers. Definitely a winner! We even enjoyed a game of... More

We have stayed in several hotels around the Cotswolds, including two others in this group, and to be fair all are very good. However the Lamb distinguishes itself by its location, rooms (we stayed in the Shepherd room), friendly service, food -- including bar food -- and the fact that there are open fires in the three lounge areas, with...
