We recently ate lunch at the Lamb. It is a beautiful, historic inn. We ate the set lunch in the dining room, fallow deer for the main course and a pigeon starter. Set lunch is £20 for two course? and £25 for 3? Food was fine, service good. The bars are more intersting but only serve bar type snacks. Burford... More

Burford has now become a great place to meet our Son who works south of Oxford, I met him yesterday for a spot of Mum/Son time.Great to wander around Burford perusing the array of independent shops and then stop at the Lamb for lunch. What a delight, we were met by very welcoming staff, nothing was too much trouble, the... More

Just had a beautiful xmas lunch with the family here. Gorgeous food, excellent service and lovely surroundings. Children's menu a bit pricey though although very nicely done. Had an amazing cheese board for pudding and the homemade chocolates were delicious.

Have been to Burford so many times and wondered what the Lamb was like. So glad we tried it out. A great atmosphere welcomed us. The menu choice for lunch was varied. Both meals were very nice indeed ad the service was friendly and professional. Will definitely try this again.

As a place to meet up for lunch with old friends, it meets all the requirements. Comfortable lounge with log fire, attentive staff, welcoming dining room and excellent lunch. The lunch was nouvelle cuisine - not to everyone's taste - and it might have been advisable to have some of bar menu items available. The cheese board was excellent and... More

We stopped by for lunch while out touring the countryside on a day trip from London. I had my family with me. We sat by a nice fire in one of their many small rooms that are very cozy and are found all over the inn. It is a real discovery--this is not twee or fake charm it is authentic... More

We stayed at the Lamb for one nights bed and breakfast. It is in a lovely location just off the main high Street in Burford. Parking is on the street but there was plenty of spaces. The hotel its self is quaint and relaxing with log fires and very nice and comfortable bedrooms. The food was excellent and the service... More

We spent a lovely couple of days having taken up a deal of £99. pp per day, bed breakfast and fine dining evening meal. There was even a bottle Champagne included on our arrival. As it was my husband's birthday, he was delighted. This was our third visit as we love the log fires, cosy lounges, local shops and tea... More

This may seem strange but evening the full english breakfast was so tasty. We will return in the near future - one to put in the... More

Went there for lunch, after breakfast at Huffkins (also superb). Had light lunch in the 'public' bar. So only had room for soup and bread. The trouble and strife had cauliflower soup and her pot and pan had chilli tomato. Both extraordinarily good. Saw dishes around me which just looked excellent. The beers were good and the espresso coffee was... More
