I had afternoon tea with 2 friends in this attractive old Cotswold hotel. Th tea itself was excellent, with a range of teas to choose from, plus finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, lardy cake, tartlets and a dessert. At £12 per person this was very good value. (There is also a champagne option for £20.) On the menu... More

On the recommendation of a friend, I decided to redeem a Cotswold Inns voucher at The Lamb, and treat myself and my husband to an overnight stay. We arrived in the pouring rain and as soon as we entered this delightful building we felt right at home. An olde inn just as an olde inn should be; all roaring fires... More

We visited for lunch after spending the morning shopping in Burford. Lots of choice on the menu in the bar, platters with hommous, deli meats, pittas, olives etc were a hit as was a very delicious BLT. Asked for a ham sandwich for a child but they could only do cream cheese and cucumber as per the menu which was... More

The Lamb Inn, Burford I booked a room for my husband and me for two days over the telephone with the Lamb Inn, a lovely friendly voice greeted me. Booking was quick and I told her that we were needing a break. When we arrived we were treated like old friends, shown to a beautiful room with a personalised welcome... More

Had heard good things about The Lamb Inn so took a short detour to Buford on way home from weekend at The Manor House in Moreton-in-Marsh (another of their hotels this company's hotels). Only had bar food lunch but looked around gardens, lounge and restaurant in the hope of staying here later in year. Suffice to say we hope to... More

We have just spent two nights at this excellent hotel, lovely comfortable room , diner was far better than expected and the breakfast exceptional. The staff were welcoming and very well trained all in all this is how a hotel should be run.

Situated in a quiet scenic town of Burford, is The Lamb Inn. I happen to experience their hospitality and be their guest on one winter’s day, and I treasure that experience. The three important aspects that stood for me were their hospitality, the food and the accommodation. I knew it will be a place where I will be experiencing highest... More

Staying at The Lamb is luxury in a classic setting, roaring fires, a sumptious bedroom and the most friendly staff ever. Nothing was too much trouble for us frozen January travellers. Food in the restaurant was absolutely superb, so much so I had steak both nights, cooked in hay! Our couple of nights stay was in one of the nicest... More

My God what a find! From the outside the Lamb Inn looks like any other nice pub/restaurants you find in Burford. Nice stone floors double bar solid restaurant area just what the tourists expect to see in this amazing Medieval town, which of course is a classic in the English Cotswolds. I did not do my research nor read the... More

There is room for improvements, but they are small and wouldn't, unless you're a pedant, get in the way of enjoying a short or long weekend here. What we liked about The Lamb was after we'd "done the promenade" along the High Street we always wound up 'back at base' for a drink, a nibble, a bottle, dinner or all... More
