We have just returned from four nights at The Lamb Inn to celebrate a birthday. Our room 'Malt' on the first floor was spacious, well equipped, overlooking Sheep Street, quiet with plenty of tea/coffee/bottled water supplies replenished daily. The complimentary chefs flapjack and evening bedroom turn-down service was a nice touch. Ground floor public rooms are very homely with open... More

This quaint old place with uneven floors is very cosy. The rooms are charming, very clean. The staff excellent. The food is first class, the best porrage I have ever had. I love the roaring fires during the winter time. Christmas is especially good. If I had to criticise I would just say there were too many dogs in the... More

We have stayed at a Cotswolds Inns Hotel before in Bibury and always wanted to stay in Burford when we next travelled to this lovely part of the world. We chose The Lamb and weren't disappointed. Our room - Violet - was on the ground floor and had a lovely olde worlde charm with low ceilings and beams, and was... More

We have been coming to the Lamb for 4 years now since we stayed for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary & enjoyed it so much! The staff are extremely efficient but friendly and are quite obviously well trained in their very various roles. We stayed for 2 nights last week and found the same good service and excellent food. I have... More

We stayed one night at the Lamb Inn and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had the dinner bed and breakfast package. Dinner was great although if you prefer something less formal I suggest the bar area, which is nice and cosy. Breakfast was revelation, probably one of best breakfast we've had in years. Our room, the stable, was small but quite... More

Nice old inn, simply decorated with many thoughtful amenities. The location is quiet and within walking distance of the main street in town. I love beautifully decorated spaces, and though this inn was very pleasant, it fell a little bit short.

The lamb is a stunning quaint building with a beautiful terrace garden. The staff really are very good and I cannot fault the service we received. We stayed in Rosie room which was dog friendly. The room was lovely however it was compact when I say compact I mean tiny. This didn't bother us as we had our own entrance... More

Just had a wonderful meal at the Lamb Inn. Service wonderful, staff very attentive & polite. I ordered the wrong wine but with no quibble it was changed. Charming Inn, great food, lovely staff. Wondering what the rooms would be like..?

Please let us know when you next visit and it will be a pleasure to show you a few of our bedrooms. All are individual and traditional but lavished with Molton Brown, Nespresso machines, Cotswold Lavender and our Chef’s homemade flapjacks! Please stop by again soon. More

Great little place, we had an amazing room with a huge bathroom which was very quiet and not facing the road. Beautiful cream tea in the gorgeous gardens followed by a fantastic dinner, wonderful steak! We love Burford and feel this place is a superbly quaint old fashioned property. If you are the type that wants to be fussed over... More

Thank you. I will keep the title of this review in my head and keep repeating! We will continue to make sure that “bling” is kept away from the Lamb and keep our concentration on the genuinely natural product that is the Lamb Inn. More

We found this up a quiet side-street. Staff were extremely polite and service was excellent. The atmosphere inside is friendly and old-fashioned with stone floors and lots of charm. The food was very good: we had mixed platters and everything was fresh and full of flavour. I would highly recommend this pub.
