you can tell immediately that the owner of this hotel cares. from being met on arrival and shown our room through to breakfast in the morning. small things make a difference between good and exceptional and the attention to detail is all there including Penhaligon toiletries in the bathroom to home made cookies with the tea tray. Delightful room off... More

Stayed overnight at Burford House Hotel for a wedding in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our twin room was comfortable and spacious. Surrounding area (Cotswolds) is beautiful. We enjoyed browsing local shops and a French market just off the little high street. It was the perfect place for our needs.

Stayed here for 3 nights in mid July. Highly recommend this hotel as a base for visiting the Cotswolds, Ian was an excellent host and staff were very attentive. Rooms (Wychwood & Windrush) were very comfortable and full of charm. Excellent breakfast and tasty evening meals also available when you return after a days sightseeing. Looking forward to returning very... More

The hotel is set on the high street in one of the most stunning Cotswolds town. The room was clean and although the windows faced the high street it was still quiet at night. However, the mattress was very soft - too soft in fact - for a good night's sleep. I think it may need an update. Apart from... More

Burford House Hotel has incredible character and I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The owner and staff were very warm & helpful and breakfast was brilliant. The town is very quaint with a number of good shops and pubs.

We stayed one Sunday night at Burford House in August. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. When we initially telephoned to reserve a room, the owner, Mr Hawkins, could not have been more helpful. He described each room, which was available, and gave us time to decide which we wanted. He also pointed out that the... More

Living in the Cotswolds we are served by many very good restaurants, The Burford House Hotel has, to us, just trumped them all. this is food of exceptional quality, served by friendly, competent staff.

We booked here for our wedding anniversary meal and we could not have been more pleased - the food was out of this world. From being made so welcomed as soon as we walked into the Hotel till we left. We both had warmed Brie tart with walnut pickle on a bed of lettuce, followed by 3 different Lamb with... More

We ate in the Centre Stage restaurant last night - the restaurant within the Burford House Hotel. The food was simply superb. The Maître D (bless him) was a little inexperienced and got flustered on a few occasions but he made us so welcome and his service was very good. The head chef is a lady called Zoe and she... More

Sadly..we were only booked in for one night at this wonderfully old building full of charm and character! On arrival we were given a warm welcome by Ian the General Manager. First things first...we enjoyed an excellent beer sitting in the sunshine in the little beer garden. Our rooms were lovely...clean with big comfortable beds. The attention to detail is... More
