You wouldn't necessarily come here specially for the food (pretty standard fare, but not really trying to be anything else - though there are more vegetarian options than is often the case) but there are two other aspects tot his place which make it very worthwhile: first, the back garden is amazingly quiet and secluded despite being just the other... Had an excellent lunch here having reviewed the Trip Advisor comments. It is very pleasant to sit by the window and watch the world go by. It would have been nice to sit outside, but people smoking there spoil it for everyone else. I realize we have to live with smokers, but I do wish they would go somewhere else... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here after a wedding at stone barn. I phoned in advance to find out what time we could check in and was told midday, on arrival at 12 however none of the rooms were ready and we had to get changed and be at the venue by 1 so not ideal. We stayed here for... More

We love going to The Priory for breakfast - it's pretty unbeatable! Really good value, friendly service and quality meat. Have also been in for lunch which was very tasty as well, I had the Cajun chicken burger which was lush. Will return again.

Had a fantastic lunch on Wednesday They were busy but it was worth the wait for the great food. The guy serving was really attentive although very busy and apologised for the delay Fantastic If your in the area try it first you won't be disappointed

We were looking for somewhere to eat & most pubs in Burford had stopped serving food for the afternoon & we were advised to try The Priory Restaurant! It was a glorious afternoon & all the outside seating at the front was taken so we sat in the window seat looking out onto Burford's beautiful High Street although there is... More

I had a good feeling about this place when I booked it. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived after a hard day's walking. The accommodation is basic but very clean and the beds were comfy and rooms had everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic and set us up... More

We were suggested to visit for a nice drink so wandered in and sat in the lovely garden. We were served promptly and ordered our cream tea to share and a latte. It didn't take long and we were enjoying the sun and food. Good prices, pleasant atmosphere and nice fare.

I had a two night break at The Priory, and was very happy with my stay. I had a single room in the garden building, quite simple but with plenty of space for clothes etc. There was no ensuite or even a washbasin, but a washroom and shower were close by, an arrangement which I prefer to having an ensuite...
