Stayed overnight whilst visiting family and the hotel was fine. It could do with a bit of sprucing up to be honest but it was clean and the staff were pretty friendly. Breakfast was good and plentiful but doing scrambled egg for just one person isn't normally allowed apparently - luckily two of us wanted them so we were in... More

This seemed like one of the best budget friendly places in the Nottingham area, and it didn't disappoint. We had a late night arrival and the staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was very good and service was extremely friendly. For the budget traveler, perhaps used to anonymous experiences at group hostels, this place is a breath of fresh air. Very... More

I stayed for one night, my room was in what I can call a terrace house which is behind the main hotel. Room was very dated but comfortable, single beds but was fine for the nights stay. Staff were very friendly, good breakfast, I had the full English which was freshly cooked. Car park with enough room for quite a... More

We booked one night here as we were supporting our son in a Triathlon at the National Watersports Centre, in Holme Pierrepoint, which was about 10 miles, 40 minutes away. Staff at Hylands were all very helpful and friendly. The room was basic but clean and everything worked. The decor is very dated but acceptable, and means they can keep... More

A budget hotel which is excellent value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Décor a little dated but room and bathrooms very clean and tidy. Beds very comfortable. Off road parking a bonus. Breakfast very generous. Will return again.

A friendly run, helpful B&B. Clean and tidy, if a little weird with its decor! Excellent breakfasts, just what we wanted for a quick stop over in Nottingham. Good location with several nice restaurants near by, and not noisy at all. Off street parking a bonus, if a little tight to get in.

The Hylands staff were friendly and made every effort to make my stay pleasant and comfortable. The single bedroom was okay - nothing special; good enough for a night - but the communal areas were far more pleasant. Well decorated [shame that water penetration had damaged the ceiling and architrave in the sitting room] the Hotel has some interesting pieces... More

This hotel's main selling point is the friendliness of its staff; I was greeted warmly at reception in the evening and at breakfast in the morning. The location also is convenient to Beeston rail station (one halt away from East Midlands Parkway or Nottingham for trains to the South and the East) and to the west side of the University... More

All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel was spotless and the breakfast was great and plentiful. Our room was in a separate building which made it very quiet so we got a good night's sleep. The only negatives I would say was that the en suite was very small and the radiator in the bathroom was... More

We stayed for 3 nights and had a very good experience. The bedroom had an ensuite that even included a jaqcusi bath as well as a shower which was a good size. Rooms are rather dated but are clean and very comfortable English breakfast was good although why tinned tomatoes rather than fresh ones is a bit of a mystery.... More
