This hotel is fabulous, very grand as you eventually find it and drive up to it. This is my only criticism; the hotel is difficult to find using Sat Nav. It is just off the main round-about on the left hand side as if you were actually going to the race course. Continue along straight, it is then on your... more

Stayed at this hotel on Easter Weekend for 2 nights, because I was going to a concert at Trent Arena. Although it was a 2 minute drive away from the town and not possible to walk, the secluded location was beautiful and very peaceful. Check in was quick and friendly and everything was as planned. Although we had got a... more

arrived late at night and reception recognised our names and check-in was rapid. Our rooms were small but comfortable. The problem was the heat, as on a cold drizzly winters night with the windows open was such the fan had to be used and it was too hot to get under the sheets . The bathroom was compact and bijou... more

Room booked 3 months in advance. Went to check in and room not ready(5 hours after it should have been available). Owner came out with a cock and bull story that they had noticed some toiletries missing from the room. We went to check and found some other residents just leaving the room and cleaners rushing around. The owner was... more

Stayed here for a day during a long-weekend trip. Chose this place for some rest after a party in Nottingham, could not have been happier with the choice. Great setting opposite the racecourse, with a lake behind the Hall. If you do stay here, you must take a leisurely stroll through the grounds. Fantastic on a Summer evening. Picked a... more

We stayed at this hotel in order to watch the cricket at Trent Bridge. It is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Our superior room was not very clean, grubby mattress cover, rock hard foam pillows and a bed as hard as concrete. The evening meal was terrible and we had to send it back. There were two... more

We went to Notingham, primarily to catch Andy Williams in concert as we could not get decent seats in London. As it was also our wedding anniversary we thought we would spend a couple of days in Nottingham but definately did not want to stay in the towm centre. I am in the travel business so after some research in... more

Booked this as a suprise overnight for my boyfriend. Paid extra for a superior room and it was definitely worth it! I specifically requested the Mozart room after looking at the options on the website and it exceeded my expectations - colonial french-parisian decor and period furniture in an enormous bedroom. The bathroom was also massive - with a double... more
