This hotel has huge spacious rooms... Some might say "too big" as the bedroom has like 40 meters and bathroom 30 meters :-) Anyway, for me it was nice and I've enjoyed it. Rooms are well clasically decorated, big sole standing bathtub was like from some middle-age castle, very nice! Breakfast was nice and even for the dinner the restaurant... More

Stayed for just one night B&B I originally tried to book a suite or upgrade but none were available, however there really was no need. Our room was lovely and spacious, the bathroom huge! We ate in the bar off the light bite menu and the food was fresh and delicious. An excellent nights sleep followed by a fresh breakfast... More

Stayed there for 4 nights for work. Great Service Nothing was to much trouble all ways on hand to help . Room service was quick and the food was freshly cooked and arrived quickly. I needed to stay an extra night and the hotel was full they called around for me to ensure i wasn't stranded.

Excellent place, pricey mind but the food excellent. Staff friendly & for any racegoers out there you're on the doorstep. The breakfast is first class. A little awkward to get to from the east side of the city.

Very friendly staff. The hall is stunning. Food very good, waiting staff attentive but not obtrusive. All rooms well heated despite bitterly cold weather outside. Right next to Nottingham Racecourse and National Watersports Centre.

Stayed here on the Weekend Winter Retreat deal, £129 for dinner, bed & breakfast for a Superior room. The hotel is located well away from roads/railways etc and is very quiet. The room (No 201 - Capt James Cook) was huge, with a sofa, a couple of chairs, a rotating TV (good idea!), two dressing tables and very large and... More

We stayed in room 104 and would definitely book that room again. My friends stayed in 107 which was equally as nice. The rooms were huge! We had an amazing four poster bed in our room and a roll top bath. The staff were lovely and sorted out a dispute with a taxi firm they had used to pick us... More

We've stayed twice before at cowlick hall they were both lovely stays, don't know what's happened to it? I'll start with the geeting as we arrived, a receptionist dressed as a cleaner with a young woman next to her who was obviously just a friend that was sitting with her to pass the time but openly admitted she was snooping...
