Booked through booking.com, double checked with vendor 2 weeks prior to stay that he was expecting 3 people, confirmed he was.On arrival he said no such confirmation was made and ended up giving us our money back leaving us with nowhere to stay and child with us. Not a nice man however did us a favour because lovely clean travelodge... More

After reading the awful reviews, we was pleasantly suprised. The room was ok, what you expect to pay for £39. The staff were great, the full cooked English breakfast was spot on. The only downfall what we experencied was the room being hot (we just opened the window) and the mattress was a tiny bit lumpy. For the price well... More

After reading all the reviews before I stayed there, I was pleasantly surprised to find that our rooms where in fact very good. The owner provided us with excellent customer service and also threw in a present (we did have a leaking ceiling but was fixed before we got there). I would definitely stay here again.

Well I was very disappointed when we entered the room it was cold, damp, dirty and bland, the walls were paper thin. They said they had tea and coffee facilities which was two manky tea bag and a few packets of coffee with a couple of very thin biscuits. We lay on the beds because there was only one chair... More

Arrived at the hotel in the dark and was taken down an outdoor alley to our room with no lighting. Room was large but the smell of cigarettes hit you as you walked in. Wifi was out of reach for the room we were in. Walls were paper thin. Spent the night listening to one person snoring on one side,... More

I would say I stayed here, but after getting into the room and having a look around, I found the bathroom was full of black mould. So I promptly apologised to the owner, checked out again and found a nice hotel elsewhere! In fairness to the owner, they say they are undergoing a refit, which shows by the various works... More

When we stayed the owners Said they had just taken over and we're renovating the property. The reception is in the small bar which doubles as the breakfast area in mornings. Staff are very nice and helpful. Currently the stairs do not have bannisters and have been stripped ready for painting or wallpapering, Stairways are tight but ok Our bedroom... More

Room was changed at short notice, to one that was apparently smaller. The room door is not fitted to a good standard. The heating is left on and the heat hits you when you open the door. Inadequate parking which is worrying as they are adding extra rooms. Decoration not too clever and carpets were definitely not laid by a... More

We booked in here as we've had a good experience there in the past, having stayed twice before and finding it a very good budget hotel. They've had new management since then, and it shows. The staff weren't unfriendly, but we all felt a little unwelcome. The only staff we saw besides breakfast were teenagers in tracksuits and hoodies, who... More

I stayed at the Commodore Hotel when visiting friends during October. The hotel is next door to what used to be the Commodore International, and was really prestigious in its day. It is sad to see it in its current state. I Paid £32.50 for my room, so maybe I should not complain ??? Here is my feedback: Manager was... More
