Very good overall, couple of things could have been better: the bed was huge which was brilliant but was a bit of a stiff mattress, the carpet, though clean, had some mucky old unremoveable stains on it, and the new continental grab and go breakfast could have more choices of food to go, along with paper bags or small sandwich... My wife and I had to travel to Nottingham for a wedding and after much research (with the aim of keeping the costs down), we plumped for The Welbeck. Once we made our way through the hideous Nottingham one-way system, we parked our car at the very convenient adjacent multi-storey car park. First experiences were not great - we arrived... More

We arrived at approx 1_30pm, as the check in time on internet was 2pm we asked if possible, we could check in early. The unfriendly lady on reception pulled a face, moaned then reluctantly agreed. On paying we discovered we had been charged an extra 10 pounds for each room. While the hotel itself was ok , for what we... More

We stayed here for a hen night. I can honestly say it was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Granted the hotel is dated, hence the refurb but we had a great nights sleep. Ideally placed and was within walking distance of where we wanted to go. The staff were VERY helpful particularly the gentleman who brought... More

I have just got home from a 1 night stay in a twin room on 11.10.14. I was very pleased with how efficiently we were checked in. Reception staff, especially the male (wish I'd have caught his name - you brought an iron to our room 505) were particularly pleasant and professional. Rooms were neat and tidy and smelt very... Being a single female backpacker I was happy to find a bargain room in central Nottingham. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and you even get a grab and go breakfast in the morning. Mandy at reception couldn't have been more helpful! Such a wonderful lady who really made my stay :) Great place and great value!

I only chose to stay here because it was very cheap for my 6-night stay, but I've been very happy with the hotel. Great location, only being a few minutes walk from the city centre, and noise wasn't an issue despite being next door to Rock City! The restaurant on the top-floor is no longer in use, but being in... More

What can I say...A gem in the city centre. A centrally located place that is of a high standard and that offers good deals. Breakfast superb too. I stayed here for business three times and each time got a good deal.

Just back from an overnight stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotels location is fantastic! There were the usual tea/coffee facilities in the room, but the hotel also had a coffee machine in the lobby. They also offer a grab and go breakfast and free wi-fi in... More
