Booked 3 rooms last night for family get together. Got there at 1.30pm and rooms were ready so decided to stay for lunch on 5th floor before going out. Great value and highly recommended. All staff well polite and rooms clean. Recommend 5th floor as thats where breakfast is served and its quiet. Talking of b/fast, what a spread, every... more

No real problems. Staff seemed efficient and friendly. Breakfast excellent. Bar OK - quiet. Big bed. Quite noisy outside but rooms generally soundproofed quite well. Would go again. more

no problem with our room it was fine although the cleaners obviously have never heard of a duster and mr sheen. The staff are just awfull, they are all miserable and anyone would think that they were being forced to be there. From the receptionist to the bar maid to the catering staff at breakfast they were all the most... more

After reading the other reviews on here i didnt know what to expect from this hotel, however the hotel overall was a lot better then my expectations. The room was a good size, with a flat screen tv, comfortable beds, hair dryer and a lot of storage space. The bathroom was gorgeous, with very nice big bath towels! lol The... more

I've stayed in Nottingham many times, and have never found the ideal hotel. Something always lets them down. The Welbeck is so nearly good, but doesn't quite make it. The plus points here were free WiFi, central location and convenient parking. The staff are pleasant. Sky Sports in the room. I didn't explore the bar. Two negatives. My room-service meal... more

Stayed for one night for work. Wasn't looking forward to it having read about it on here, but it was fine. The staff were friendly, the room quiet and a decent size. Everything worked and no noise from Rock City. It was a Sunday though, which meant that the restaurant was closed. Not a problem as it's easy walking distance... more

Oh dear - where do I start? Cleaning does not seem to be high on the list of priorities in this hotel - there was a thick layer of dust inside the wardrobe (unfortunately didn't notice this until AFTER some clothes had been put in there) - complained and asked could housekeeping do something - but 24 hours later layer... more

I stayed at this hotel on november 21st and 22nd 2007 for a work training course and opted for bed & breakfast. The Receptionist was very friendly and the Reception was clean. The bed was made up with sheets with a quilted cover. The underside of this quilt was 'stained' from possibly the previous tenant. I notified the Receptionist who... more

Last minute booking, and ended up at the Welbeck as most of Nottinghan was full. As I didn't arrive until 01.20 and left again at 08.00, my experience is limited but I can give the following impressions: - nightmare to find & not in the most salubrious location. - undercover carpark directly outside the hotel entrance. Very convenient but you... more

Although £80.00 a night, the quality of the rooms are gorgeous. The included Breakfast was a treat and the breakfast staff were very nice and accommodating. City Centre location is good and if you are going to Rock City this is the place to stay, as it is literally 2 minute walk, and backs onto Rock City itself. Car Park... more
