For a just a place to sleep for a night out or a base to then explore the city of Nottingham this is great. It isn't far from the city centre, only about a 10 to 15 minute walk, and there is a car park near by that is fairly reasonable, £10 for 24 hours. However the room furnishings could... More

We stayed for two nights attending my daughter's graduation. The budget price can only be explained because the hotel is in the final stages of refurbishment with, as yet, not restaurant or bar. However, take-away break face in reception was more than adequate. Rooms are large, well equipped and the bathroom refurbished. What makes the hotel though is the staff... More

Mandy and Pedro were the most helpful and welcoming hotel staff I've come across. If this is how members of the general public are treated, hotel guests are very lucky! Great service when we were stuck in Nottingham for hours.

I stayed at the Welbeck Sunday to Wednesday just gone, informed Sunday night the hotel would be changing hands whilst we were there. To start with slightly worried, but needn't had been, the new team seemed to be getting things done, the restaurant closed with a new help yourself continental breakfast being offered in reception, sceptical but the coffee and... We stayed here for 3 nights as were going to a gig at Rock City, which is a stone's throw away from the hotel front. Having said that, I didn't have any trouble with loud noise throughout our stay. This hotel is cheap and as such I wasn't expecting a lot. The hotel is slightly dated, but it's not run... More

After reading a few other mixed reviews I decided to take my chances when I needed an inexpensive place to stay for a midweek night in Nottingham. I was pleasantly surprised throughout my stay. For £44 I had a large, well furnished, sunlit room and breakfast. The reception and breakfast staff were very friendly and hopeful and I was even... More

It's so sad to see a place that once had real flash, go down the drain. What used to be a 4 star rated hotel is now little more than a youth hostel. I had to move my room because the window in the first room I was given was broken and covered with brown plastic tape. I found similar,... More

Stayed here with my wife for a night out in Nottingham with friends. First impressions were good. close to the city centre and was clean and tidy. Good night out and got back into a big comfy bed. We were awoken by the fire alarm at 07:30, which wasn't good but probably an accident. Then the disappointment. Looking forward to... More
