I stayed at the Lace Market Hotel last weekend as I was taking my boyfriend to Nottingham for a surprise, and after reading mixed reviews I was quite nervous, and upon arriving at the room I was very disappointed. We stayed in a Double Room..... it was poxy and small, there was barely any wardrobe space... the only wardrobe in... More

A group of five of us attended the cocktail school on Saturday night. The bar was closed off just for us for two hours and with a glass of champagne on arrival and then being taught four cocktails and getting to make two ourselves I thought it was great value. The bar staff were friendly and chatty and the cocktails... More

I was not intending on writing another review on what used to be my favourite hotel in Nottingham...however my husband and I have been left so sincerley disappointed by our most recent experience that I am compelled to write another review. We used to love the whole boutique experience the Lace Market hotel provided. We loved the fact that we... More

Upgraded on arrive into a studio. Plenty of room, large bed, huge bath. So nice to be in an environment that has character. Wonderful choice for breakfast. I was on business but would be very nice to visit for a romantic stay.

Went here on Saturday afternoon with my sisters and Mum for pre-wedding celebrations. Nice welcome from everyone and our table was ready and waiting. Initial thoughts were - there doesn't appear to be that much food, but after getting through it all realised there was more than enough! The range of teas was great and we all tried something we... I arrived at the Lace Market hotel and were checked in to my double room by a member of staff who then told us where the lift was. I was not advised of any stairs which could be used to access the rooms. On entering the room the first thing I noticed was that the floor was extremely uneven, going... More

I recently visited this hotel for afternoon tea on a Sun with a friend. Whilst the service was pretty good the food wasn't that special. We had 4 tiny squares of sandwiches for which seemed to have been stood (we had pre-ordered) for sometime as the bread was a little dry. There was, however, a nice selection of cakes but... More

The warmth of the service in the hotel can't be faulted. The reception staff are genuinely friendly and very helpful. It was a shame the hotel missed on details - the shower in the luxury bathroom was very mouldy. We mentioned this on check-out: The staff explained that their cleaning products "don't work". Honest but not acceptable for a luxury... More

Love the location of this hotel, in a very nice and quiet part of town. We booked the standard double room, it's quite small, but we were overlooking the church, which was really nice. There's no safe in the room, which was a bit disappointing, but I found the bed and pillows very comfy. There seems to be a problem... More

I had booked this hotel for a one night stay in Nottingham with my other half. As someone who used to live in Nottingham I had heard good things about the hotel and knew the location is excellent. The hotel is located in the lace market area of the city centre, probably the nicest area in the city. There are... More
