we had to go down to Nottingham last week for a funeral we booked the hotel as we had stayed there before. We were only staying one night as the funeral was the following day we asked if we could leave our bags after we checked out an collect them after the funeral. That was not a problem we were... More

A friend and I had booked afternoon tea at The Britannia Hotel on a Groupon voucher. The lady who showed us where to go and the waiter who served our tea were both delightful and an asset to the hotel. Unfortunately, the young lady on Reception was not in the same league and needs a spot of education regarding manners!... More

Stayed here last night as we were attending something at Nottingham Castle location is great however the hotel is disgusting. The rooms are tiny, we booked a double I can assure you the "double bed" was not what it says on the tin. The rooms are dirty dust everywhere phone didn't work, the TV and kettle are from the 1960s.... More

I’m not one to write negative or complaining reviews, as on the whole, i don’t find them helpful. However, my recent stay at the Britannia Hotel Nottingham has changed that! I booked four nights, at a cost of 200.00, not a small amount of money, but about average for town. The girl on the desk was polite and engaging. Check... More

I stayed here on a thursday night in November and despite reading some horror reviews continued with my stay. The twin room with a shower and a tv cost £32 for a night and I found it absolutely fine. Reception were helpful, checked me in quickly. The room was a bit basic and needs abit of a freshen up but... More

Stayed here for a Poker trip to Dusk till Dawn. The hotel looks shabby from the outside, reception looks ok. Reception process is sooooo slow which is the same I experienced at another Brittania hotel. The process they follow is so inefficient I don't understand why they don't do half the processing they do in front of you in advance.... More

I'm glad that I had to stay here only for one night. This place looks like it's falling apart, looks really depressing. Our room was small and definitely needed refurbishment, most of the furniture was damaged. It was also obvious that it hadn't been cleaned for some time. There were towels only for one person in the bathroom, even though... More

Reasonable to say some renovations are required as the hotel generally looks tired and unloved. However, it's also reasonable to say that the hotel is comfortable, clean and fit for the purpose with relatively low room rates. I found the service to be very poor in the restaurant this morning though. Faced with one of our rooms not being on... More

Stayed for a couple of nights with my Brother who was celebrating his 40th Birthday.Thought the rooms were adequate & was pleasantly surprised it had 2 bathrooms, not spotless but clean enough for our needs. The location was perfect as it was near the castle which has lots of good pubs near it. The food in the restaurant was good value, the only... More

My wife and I stayed for the night while in town for a concert. We had a large discount on the actual price of this place and had I paid the full price I would have been asking for a full refund as it most certainly was not a top hotel. The location is very good but the building is... More
