I stayed here for one night under a booking made by a colleague and really didn't enjoy the experience. The hotel's website says it is "formally [sic] Holiday Inn Nottingham City Centre part of the Intercontinental Group" and goes on to describe the Britannia as Nottingham's "premier hotel". I'd be interested to learn what Intercontinental think of that description since... more

Small dirty bedrooms and bathrooms, stained bedding and towels. Would have moved out, but could not find alternative hotel with rooms on the night. Would have been cleaner, and felt safer, sleeping in my car in the adjoining NCP car park, with the car unlocked. more

Booked a non smoking room through lastminute.com. The hotel was described by them as having "In addition to a great central location, the Britannia Nottingham Hotel has bright, contemporary bedrooms with luxury duvets to wrap up in and enjoy a top night's sleep." What a lie, who ever wrote that clearly hasn't been there. I was given a smoking room... more

I stayed here just one night thankfully that was all. It was a business trip organised by someone else but that was no excuse. The hotel is tired and outdated, the room was very small and cramped, food wasnt very good althought in fairness the staff were very helpful. The business meeting room we used was reasonable but overall I... more

Booked an executive room. Room was large, fairly clean, smelled fresh, but the furniture was tatty, the sofa bed looked like one from a shared student house, with mismatching seat cushion. carpet had red wine stains. paintwork was marked, and room looked like it needed re-decorating.One set of net curtains was missing, so you had to close the wodden shutter... more

I was on the first gloor but another collegue on the 3rd floors room was really tiny and half the size of mine. It is... more

This hotel was awful!! There is no parking so you have to park in the surrounding carparks.... (nice expense before you have even started!!) Got sorted at Reception pretty quickly which was good but then as i went to go to the room there was a very distinct smell of urine in the lift which was disgusting!! Got into the... more

Booked this hotel cheaply through a booking agent - saved approx half what the hotel was charging. This made the stay bearable! Had we paid the hotel going rate we would have expected a refund. The room was so hot it was impossible to sleep even with the windows wide open. The bathroom was in need of some maintenance, but... more

Our room was lovely and clean. There were two extra beds put in for the children and we still had lots of space. The staff were so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was great and lots of choice. Our first nights dinner was just OK but we were late arriving. Second nights dinner was great - lots... more
