As the husband of Jacqs44 and previous user of Backpackers Hostels in Scotland I would like to just say what a wonderful hospitable, clean and hassle free stay myself and 2 friends had in the Igloo Annex last week. I would have no hesitation in staying here again and hope to use it again in the future. I strongly recommend... More

I've never stayed in a hostel before, except in Wales in YHA for walking purposes. I've always thought they'd be a bit run down, smelly and noisey, but the Igloo was fantastic. We stayed in one of the newly opened pods and it was clean, bright and had fun decor with free WiFi and really comfortable bed, although our pillows... More

I booked the hostel to spend a weekend with my fabulous Botswana Buddies (seriously join Girlguiding - it takes you to far off places and you come back with wonderful friends) We had a room in the annex and the room was spacious for the three of us; the shower rooms were clean (water temp a little temperamental) and nicely... It was my first time visiting the UK. I had everything planned out, so nothing should have gone wrong...but unfortunately I had to make a last minute decision to change my destination before I got to London. So I decided to check out Nottingham! I stayed in the single room located across the street in another Annex. There was a... More

Good very clean little hostel for backpackers staff are very friendly and helpful, central enough and just up the road from the bus station if your in a dorm and trying to sleep it can be annoying but for solo easy going travellers its great.

I spent a month at the Igloo Hostel and it was enough to make me feel truly sad to leave that place. The staff it is friendly and always ready to give some help. The price/quality ratio it's really good and I think it will be excellent for easygoing people.

Having traveled quite a lot due to the busy demands of being a music student (drinking, playing, touring), my idea of a 'youth hostel' was initially pretty negative due to past experiences. I only initially booked this hostel as a last minute decision as I had a performance at short notice on the next day, and knew about it because... More

we initially looked at hotels in Nottingham but realised we couldn't afford the prices. We found the igloo hostel which was half the price, and had an annexe with private rooms. The rooms were bright and newly decorated, my daughter says the furniture is ikea. There is a very clean well equipped kitchen, plus several bathrooms/shower rooms. The rooms were... More

I stayed at the "Igloo" for a bit over 3 months whilst attending Nottingham Trent University. The rooms and the hostel in general were kept quite clean and saying that there was a great bunch of people staying there from many different countries...We all got along famously from meeting in the TV common room to gathering downstairs in the kitchen,,,Always...
