Someone put serious thought into the room decor. Even the bathroom was especially sweet. My destination was Chatsworth, to visit that grand estate and channel all those mad Mitford sisters but this hotel made it extra special. Everything about it was created with a capital C for comfort. Horses riding by, spectacular scenery, nature everywhere, in the middle of nowhere;... More

Stopped off opportunistically for lunch. I initally felt concerned that the place was empty of diners however the platefuls were more than generous and very tasty. Good honest pub fayre. We will stop off here again.

Good food, tasty beer, friendly staff. The only problems I found, which are fairly important are that: 1) The beer is very expensive. 2) The food is very nice but the portions are very stingy. If they could sort these issues then I would return.

Stopped in with 12 friends after a walk for lunch. Good food at a reasonable price and friendly staff. The steak sandwich was good and the fish finger sandwich also got a good review. The venue is large and doesn't feel crowded even though the pub was full.

Had a few pints in here as was my local whilst in the area for a week. didn't eat so can't comment, but very pleasant atmosphere and felt very welcoming. One criticism, i intended returning during the midweek to watch the televised football, but overheard the Owner mention that football is not shown, pity.

Staying in peak forest, this was our local boozer, so would have been rude not to visit it for lunch. We had two courses and enjoyed them both. Interior looked good and bar lady was very friendly. Food was priced a bit high but can't complain as we picked the dishes, knowing how much they cost!

We just had lunch at the pub. The lady that served us was very friendly and accommodating. The food was ok, nothing out of this world but tasty all the same. Just what I expected from a local pub

This was the worst B&B experience I have had in years! A picturesque setting and actually the decor was not too bad, but what a disappointment. It started with them losing our booking (now they only have 6 rooms, and we had emailed and paid a deposit); they never answered the phone, when we arrived the bar was a mess.... More
