I have not written a review before but felt compelled to do because of the poor standard of this holiday accommodation. The countryside around Harthill Hall is stunning and the views from the accommodation, Priesthill, were lovely but that's where the positives end. The accommodation was small and dark and was made worse by the limited lighting and very dim... More

We stayed in Harthill Hall Cottages - the Deferrers and it was lovely. We were 3 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs and without exception, had a wonderful time. The children loved the themed bedrooms and found plenty to do in the evenings so although there were televisions provided, we didn't need them. The kitchen was well kitted out and... More

Just returned from a weekend away at the barn to celebrate my husbands 40th, 12 adults stayed. 6 ensuite double beedrooms gave each couple some personal space. Lovely set up and great lounge area to get together. The kitchen has all amenities but is a little on the small side, as is the dining table, it does seat 12 but... More

The Manor House is packed with character and is in a stunning location. Our family of three generations loved it, especially the hot tub and pool. The house itself has lots of quirky original features and well tended private gardens. That said, there are a few things I would have liked to have known before I booked, firstly a credit... More

I booked four of the cottages at Harthill Hall and went away with a group of 24 people to celebrate turning 30. The cottages were fantastic and were exactly what we were looking for, clean, comfortable, well equipped and just in a lovely setting with wonderful views. The owners and staff of the site were extremely friendly and kind and... More

We booked Hartle cottage at short notice for a four night midweek break during the first full week of 2015. Having read some of the TripAdvisor comments on the way to the cottage I was a bit concerned. I shouldn't have been. The cottage was great, equipped with everything we needed. The pool and the sauna were also great. Even... More

We stayed in Deferrers over new year with friends. There are some odd features, such as the inexplicably and bizarrely themed rooms and low powered LED lights and I can see how some people, used to sanitised and samey 'Country House Hotels' could find it not to their liking. For us, though, it was perfect. The staff were extremely helpful.... More

I booked The Chapel with 5 friends to celebrate my 40th birthday. When we arrive there was a beautiful wreath on the door, a Christmas tree and a welcome platter of mince pies etc, and some complimentary Gluhwein, really lovely touches. The cottage itself is immaculately clean, superbly equipped and extremely comfortable and cosy - full of character but with... More

We had a lovely warm a cosy stay at Henry's Haunt. It is well looked after and full of character. Harthill Hall is a stunning estate and has been sympathetically converted into holiday cottages. Of course the icing on the cake is the hot tub. After a bracing days walk on the dales it is lovely to come back and... More

We have just returned from a short break at the wonderful little spot. We were rather spoilt as it was a quiet midweek stay at a very good value rate also as there were not many other residents we got to use the indoor pool lots as nobody else wasp rebooking it. The setting is stunning both the location and... More
