After a day of Hill walking with full pack in driving rain with head on 60 mile per hour Gales. It was a pleasure to find such well presented accommodation with a warm welcome, superb food and wine. To lay in a bath with a beer over looking the Northumberland National Park has a simple pleasure about it!!! more

This is an excellent Bed & Breakfast establishment with bedrooms finished to a high standard. Kevin and Leah are very friendly hosts and make visitors very welcome. The bedrooms are extremely well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast served each morning is excellent. I would not hesitate to stay at this accommodation the next time I am in the area. more

We went looking for great examples of Hadrian's Wall and other Roman ruins. This gave us a GREAT location from which to go out each day and tour no less than 3 fabulous examples of Roman forts and afforded us excellent opportunities to see the wall. The stay was made even better by the superb staff and the way in... more

After visiting cities on our holiday it was lovely to arrive at this farmhouse surrounded by gorgeous countryside. Rooms are beautifully furnished, clean and spacious, Leah's breakfast is excellent and Carraw is an excellent base for exploring Hadrian's Wall. I would have loved more time at Carraw and would highly recommend this B & B to other travellers planning to... more

We have just returned from a 3 day stay at Carraw B&B. Over the years we have stayed in many B&B establishments and this is at the top of them all. Our room was excellent, large and most comfortable with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast are just excellent (muesli is home made and a delight) and varied, lovely toast. We... more

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. We consider this an almost perfect bed and breakfast. You need to understand that you are not in a village, but that's the only caveat. After Easter, when the AD122 bus runs, you do not even need a car. We did have a car and there is parking on site. The rooms... more

Everything about this B&B was wonderful! It's located about 20min drive from Hexham, on a large property. Feels like being in the middle of nowhere - not another house in sight! Leah is a wonderful host - very cheerful & friendly, offering to do anything to help us enjoy our stay. Our room had a beautiful bay window with views... more

We were touring the Hadrian's Wall area, and a guide suggested this would be a good place to stay for the night. It is easy to find, but miles from anywhere. So, it's very tranquil and if the weather is nice, a delightful place for country walks. The hosts, Kevin and Leah made us very welcome and the guest house... more
