After a long day walking Hadrian's Wall Trail we were relieved to find this excellent B&B less than a mile from the trail. After a warm welcome from our host Sandra we were shown to our spacious and very comfortable rooms. The evening meal was a wonderful roast chicken with all the trimmings, the following days full English was equally... More

Myself and 7 friends walked Hadrian's wall this summer and stayed here on our second night - the accommodation was good - we were so pleased to have our own dining room and kitchen facilities! The only drawback was a single shower and toilet shared by 8 of us which meant delays in getting warm and dry after a long... More

I stayed in the bunk house of Greencarts who also do B&B and camping. I would not recommend staying here if you can find alternative accommodation in the area, especially for walkers as its a bit of a distance from Hadrians wall. We arrived exhausted after a long day on Hadrians wall. The hostess greeted us warmly enough and we... More

Room was rather tight and the en-suite was very tight, shower rather erratic. All this was just about acceptable but the welcome was not very warm and the information on where to eat was poor. Accepting their recommendation on a place to eat was very expensive and bitterly disappointing after a long day on Hadrian's wall. You have been warned.... More

We had a four night stay on the electric hookup tent pitches, young and old we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Big spacious field for children to play. Hadrians wall nearby. No pub or shop, but they do offer you a lift to local pub, aand back if its not too late, and if you run out of wine you can... More

If I were going to do the Hadrian's Wall Path again, I'd really probably only do the middle bits from Black Carts (down the road from Greencarts Farm) to Banks (or vice versa) -- so I'd certainly come back to Greencarts! We stayed in the bunk house, which was totally lovely and was a great place to stay for a... More

We took the bunkhouse option. The B&B (in the main house) was full. And there were lots of tent campers spread around. B&Bers ate in the dining room in the main house while campers were on their own (I assume). We bunkhousers had breakfast fixings brought to us the first day but a cooked breakfast on the second day. Usual... More

Sandra is welcoming and nice. The rooms were standard B&B room, but en suite and nice hot shower. Tea & coffee making in rooms and lovely garden area in which to take a drink. Breakfast was nice, we even had smoked salmon. The B&B is out of Chollerford and so food would have been a problem, but Sandra organised that... More

Very welcoming reception at working farm. various levels of accommodation, from comfortable B & B rooms to camping barn. Quiet peaceful night. Spacious shower room. Dinner is arranged at very smart neighbouring B & B - picked up by car. £25 for 3 courses but can have just one or two courses without any problem. Good range of choices -... More

Can not recommend this place highly enoughHaving not realised the farm was quite a way out of Chollerford,we rang & were immediately offered a lift from the hosts, who were friendly & helpful & genuine people.Sandra will give a discount if you stay more than 1 night. She understands what outdoor people need (eg a decent packed lunch) & the breakfast is...
