Stayed here 2nd night of a 4 day walk along Hadrian's Wall. Owner offered to collect us from the end of the walk (although we managed to make it under our own steam!). Room was reallly nice with tea/coffee etc, hairdryer, tv. Quite a way from the local town but landlady was happy to act as a taxi service and... more

Having decided to walk some of Hadrian's Wall this summer we felt it would be easier to stay the full 5 nights in one place. Very warm welcome, comfortable rooms, great breakfast (but you need to ask for the black pudding!). The only thing stopping the fifth star was the shower - adequate, but no more.
