After a long day we finally arrived at Greencarts Farm to a wonderful welcome. Sandra produced cold beers as we settled into the very comfortable bunk house. If that wasn't enough for a group of weary walkers Sandra then transported us to the local pub for a meal and then picked us up for the return journey - amazing! The... More

We stayed here on our last night of walking Hadrian's Wall. The accommodation was in a bunkhouse (£25 per person inc. breakfast) though there is a campsite and a camping barn. The accommodation was clean, warm and looked very new. There are two bunk rooms each sleeping 6 people. The bedrooms and shower room are upstairs the kitchen is downstairs.... More

Small farm & B&B we had a night stay at. The dinner was great. Simple chicken and potato with veg and the wife and I were hungry after a great day of walking. We were able to do laundry and dry all of our gear with help of the owner. Thanks for a great stay and the memories of a... More

We arrived at Greencarts after 18 miles walking the Hadrians wall trail, Sandra was very welcoming, we had a lovely room, she apologised for putting flowery covers on the bed as she thought we were 2 women travelling, actually my son and I! We had arranged for Sandra to provide us with dinner by calling the night before, she offered... More

WE enjoyed our stay - warm and cosy and clean. Sandra was lovely and the dog was adorable and friendly - good location to walk to the wall path from and close to Chollerford to get to Chesters Roman fort.

A welcome haven for Hadrian's Wall walkers. Options include camping, camping barn, bunkhouse and B & B. We chose bunkhouse v well appointed. Spacious and homely. Drying facilities :) local Indian takeaway delivers. Breakfasts did us for lunch too. We'll be back....

This was our first night on the Hadrian's Wall Walk & we were looking forward to seeing what our first B&B was like. To my disappointment my reservation had not been respected, even though I had sent a deposit of 20pounds. Instead of a double room with ensuite as we had expected we were given the bunkhouse, bunkbeds & make... More

Do stay at Greencarts by all means if walking Hadrian's Wall, but it is about a mile off the trail and certainly is not in Humshaugh village, about 2 miles away to the East. Find it on the map to be sure of its relatively isolated location. Having written all that, Sandra the hostess was brilliant, offering us sandwiches on... More

We have often stayed here camping because it is relaxed, friendly and with fantastic views. The toilets, showers and washing up facilities are also very good. We have often taken dogs (3 this trip) and never had any problem with the farm dog. This time we stayed in the b and b which was great. The room was cosy with... More

Greencarts B&B is located just off Hadrian's Wall Walk. We made our reservation a month or so earlier via email. Sandra had spotted us (16yr old son & myself) walking up the hill and offered a lift for the last 1/2mile. Sandra is a whirl wind (constantly popping her head in to check your all ok) and very helpful. Electricity... More
