This lovely farmhouse is situated in a delightful setting just outside Hexham which makes it an ideal centre for visiting Hexham with its beautiful Abbey and tour the Northern Penines to the south and Hadrian's Wall and the delights of Northumberland to the north. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and our hostess was welcoming... More

Very tranquil location, located approximately a mile outside of Hexham. Quiet room at the back of the farm, very clean and comfortable. It's a working farm and the owners also have a horse and cat (s?), which is lovely too. We visited the Rat (pub with a great restaurant) which is within walking distance (up a steep hill). Orders taken until... More

Everything in general was very good (cleanliness, breakfast, hospitality, location, decor, view, etc.) but it just fell short of our ideal. In particular the pillows and bedding were not quite to our liking as we would prefer a duvet (instead of a coarse blanket) & more/softer pillows. We were able to switch the blanket for a small thin duvet (from... More

A beautiful, traditional, farm B&B. Quiet, picturesque location with very comfortable and clean bedroom overlooking the farm paddock. Excellent choice for breakfast including freshly cooked English. Very friendly hosts. Free access to wireless broadband. Brilliant pub less than 10 minutes walk away with good choice of cask beers and excellent restaurant with wide menu. As I said ......... a real... More

While traveling to visit Hadrian's Wall we were fortunate to be able to spend the night at Annick Grange B&B. because it is in a rural area it was a bit difficult to find but the owner was waiting at the end of her driveway and directed us in. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

We were very surprised to find on checking in that even though we had booked for 2 nights we were not allowed to remain in the house between 10am and 4pm. The notice in the room explains that this is because Anick Grange is a working farm. This was difficult for us as I was preparing for a job interview... More

Travelling through the country, we stopped at the Tourist information at Hexham. We asked for the following: a recommendation for a country style B & B outside of Hexham (we were to visit Hadrians Wall, at Housesteads). Something nice & quiet with a country setting, and preferably situated near to (walking distance) a country pub where we could enjoy a... More

We have just returned from here- Beautiful views whilst enjoying delicious breakfasts. Comfortable, clean & v quiet/tranquil room. Made friends with the animals (horse, cat, cattle & wild birds). Within easy reach of Hexham (pretty town, plenty of eating places), Corbridge (lots of craft shops) mainly by car (or taxi) & bus. There is a high quality pub called the Rat within 10 minutes'...
