It was my first visit to Langley Castle - 8/9 July 2009 - and it won't be my last. Everything was excellent, from the friendly welcome, to the beautifully-kept buildings and grounds, to the superb food, which really is world class. I can't recommend it highly enough. In fact I would say: stay at the best hotels, eat at the... more

Had a fab wedding party but it was spoiled by the snotty woman on reception who kept the after bar locked until sure all non residents had left. Told us to keep noise down and to stop dancing! It's a wedding venue! Attitude goes a long way and she had a bad one. It's not cheap here and this behaviour... more

We were visiting this area of Britain for the first time and loved the lush scenery of the countryside and farmlands. When we approached Langley Castle our first thought was how amazingly enormous it is. On arrival we were immediately met by informative and friendly personnel followed by delicious afternoon tea in 'The Drawing Room'. We then retired to our... more

Loved the whole feel of this hotel, from pre-dinner drinks in front of the log fire to one of the best meals I have ever had. Stayed in a Castle View room (as it was cheaper than the castle rooms!) and wasn't disappointed, it was lovely. Morning 'turret tours' are available for scenic views over surrounding countryside. Not a far... more

I recently stopped at Langley Castle as myself and my partner have been seeking the ideal wedding venue. We are experienced travelers who often read and write reviews on trip advisor. We found Langley Castle to far exceed it's 4 star rating. The grounds are lush and the rooms fantastic especially in the castle. The staff were extremley polite and... more

Before writing my review I thought it worth reading a few others. Of all the reviews the most surprising is the negative one posted recently. Was this person actually at the same hotel? With this in mind …….. I had no problem booking my stay on the dates and in the rooms I required. Paying a deposit is not a... more

If you read this review and still decide to go to this hotel, then you willonly have yourself to blame for wasting a day of your life and your money. Even before I stayed at this hotel, booking it was a problem - and upfront deposit was required ( which was taken off my card again weeks after I initially... more

We got married here in January 2009, and it couldn't have been better. I stayed at the castle the night before the wedding and the wedding night and was looked after throughout. The rooms are amazing. On the Friday we stayed in a castle view suite, in a seperate building to the castle itself, which was lovely. This one suite... more

My fiancee has always wanted to stay the night in a castle and we spent the evening here on our way to Edinburgh. She found it friendly and homely and relaxing and snugglerriific, the most comfortable night she'd spent in field. The quiet countryside setting made it a perfect retreat from urban noise. We had the Tower Room with a... more
