Location is the main reason for staying at the Beaumont. Hexham is charming and the Beaumont well situated close to the abbey and opposite a pleasant park. Parking can be tricky on road and there is a small and tight hotel car park if you can bag a spot. The staff are exceptionally friendly and can't do enough to help.... More

Stayed at the Beaumont for two nights during a complicated house move and were delighted with the warm welcome. This is a traditional market town hotel offering excellent service to a mix of holiday and business guests. Our recently refurbished room was on the third floor and shared a lovely view over the tree filled park with the restaurant and... More

Arrived late on a Friday and was greeted by a nice guy who sort of directed us to our room, room 35...but there was no room 35 as it was named "chesters" My wife went in the lift which was very small and creaked a lot, the room upon entering smelt clean with modern furniture but the fixtures were dated... I stayed here for one night and had an evening meal here and it is was all quite pleasant. Parking outside the hotel on the road was easy enough. A warm welcome from the staff and shown to the room, which is helpful as although small it is a warren. I actually found a quicker route than I was shown... More

I arrived just before 10pm for a 2-night stay on B&B basis; it's a small hotel but staff were friendly and check-in was smooth. Parking not a problem thanks to parking permit which covered the first 2 hours after parking wardens come on duty the next morning. My room was on top floor front of building and was comfortable and... More

The hotel is a bit dated, but very clean and comfortable. Large bathroom, spacious rooms, free WiFi. lovely fresh towels each day. The bathrooms are sparkling. The breakfasts were excellent and all freshly cooked - if you had full English. The service at dinner was a bit lax on one occasion, but apart from that it was an enjoyable stay.... More

Wonderful staff. From reception to the restaurant staff- they were all friendly. Clean and large rooms. The hotel is close to a lot of cute shops and there is a park across the street. I found being a 5 minute walk from Tesco convenient. Breakfast was really nice. Cooked to order eggs and meat. The wifi was a bit slow... More

Slightly dated in its decor but overall not a bad little hotel. Definitely needs air conditioning even in the NE. Breakfast was good, bar is nice. Only unusual thing was that many of us stayed for a nearby wedding and we all had different nightly rates. Would I stay here again? Yes

Stayed here two nights recently, the room was very clean & comfortable, extra towels provided when asked for, why do most hotels think everyone is the size of a stick insect & reflect this is the size of towels provided & if you want to wash your hair & have more than one shower, forget it! Had two evening meals... More

stayed two nights with a large family group. Food is nice. rooms are very big and modern. bathrooms clean and modern. bar downstairs is a let down as its very small. would book in advance and agree a price specifically. our group had varying prices for the same services. Staff are very helpful and nice.
