Visiting the lodges is a treat for our family but the drink prices at the hall our ridiculous. £5.20 for a single vodka so in total a double vodka and coke costs nigh on £15. Which is an absolute joke considering you can get the same drink for half the price everywhere else even when it is the most expensive... More

These lodges look like a typical Scandinavian log cabin from the outside and are furnished / equipped to a very high standard. They have balconies on each level and in winter - this provides a great fridge for the "refreshments"!! Lots of space - we were there with friends / children 9 in total (1 very young child shared parents'... More

Very nice modern lodges, very well laid out with a very good kitchen and nice living room. The bedrooms have plenty of space and plenty of storage. The only down side is they have electric heating which can be a bit expensive in winter. The restaurant in the Hotel is very good and well worth a visit.

We have been coming to Slaley for about 9 years now over Christmas and are never disappointed. We stay in one of the lodges and use all the lodge, hotel, spa facilities and grounds to have a wonderful time. The lodge is great, spacious and luxurious. The hotel is exceptional and the staff really friendly. V12 has 4 double bedrooms,... More

We stayed here for 6 nights in lodge 14, which is in an elevated position and therefore has (slightly obstructed) views to the distant countryside. The lodges are of wooden construction in the Scandinavian style and are extremely warm, comfortable and well equipped. All the incidentals are provided such as soap, shampoo, dishwasher tablets, tea towels etc. etc. There are... More

I purchased a 3 night stay for my parents wedding anniversary as they had been looking to visit the North East area for sometime. The lodge is very modern and finished to a very high standard. We stayed in lodge 3 (Gleneagles) which is very private and secluded compared to others in the lodge park. There is a view over... More

Stayed at this hotel with my wife. Could not find any fault. All the staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The room was spot on. The bar was very relaxing and the food was excellent. We will be visiting again.

We stayed here with friends who invited us to their lodge. Very relaxing in quiet surroundings, yet the ability to wander to the Hotel and use the sports facilities, pool, steam room etc. Lovely walks from the doorstep around the 1000 acre site and the golf facilities are excellent too. The lodges themselves are of high quality, if in places... More

This wonderful hotel in the Northumbrian countryside was a joy to visit, it offers tranquility and relaxation from the moment you drive through the gates. parking is located a short distance, down a little but steep slope, a short distance from the hotel entrance. valet parking is available for customers, although we were only informed of this after climbing the...
