We have just returned from a weekend at the Boatside inn, and i can't recommend it enough. Everybody was so friendly the food and accommodation were excellent even Levi the pub dog was so friendly. We hope to visit again in the future

Just spent a night at this delightful village Inn just outside Hexham, Northumberland. They only have three guest rooms and two self catering apartments but what a place to stay! We stopped here for a hot chocolate after a long walk along the river during a short stay in Northumberland. We ended up staying for lunch and a couple of drinks....a lovely find! Have just been to The Boatside today for sunday lunch with 14 other people and the food was the best, probably the best sunday lunch i have had no complaints from anyone and there was plenty food on the plates cooked to perfection, no room for puds will definitly be back,staff very friendly and helpful
