My wife and I had a great stay. We were made to feel very welcome and Eileen was attentive and charming. I particularly enjoyed feeding the donkeys and spending some time in the beautiful gardens. Breakfast kept us going for most of the day and we are already discussing returning with our two children, who will enjoy meeting the cats... More

Wonderful serene surroundings. Ideal for total relaxation. I arrived unannounced but was still made very welcome. Bed was fantastic kept snug with an electric blanket. Wonderful. Would recommend to anyone staying in this area of Northumberland.

She offered us food and we talked a lot about traveling. She has been traveling all over the world. It was great hospitality. The location is also ideal if you... More

This was our second visit to Thornley House, we stopped over after a day at Hexham Races. The rooms are lovely and clean and comfortable with fantastic views over the gardens. Eileen is a wonderful host and the breakfast was the best! We hope to return again next year.
