not very welcoming, had props holding the ceiling up as part of the ceiling was falling down :( the place is split in half we walked in one door and it was a Thai place, looked dim and un-inviting :( we asked for just a drink and the guy said go next door. not a happy pub just had one...

We stayed in the coach and horses while working up north for a couple of weeks. We found the rooms clean and the staff very helpful. They were freshly painted and new carpets had been fitted. Friends and I went to Hexham for a wedding last weekend. We booked accommodation at the Coach and Horses, and quite frankly the accommodation was terrible. The carpets were badly stained, there was a huge patch of mould / damp on our wall, we even had a stool in the room from the pub downstairs which was also badly stained....
