The Simonburn B&B really is in a beautifully peaceful location. Ann is a very welcoming host and takes care of you. We stayed in the Double room which was comfortable and a decent size. It overlooks the lovely gardens. Negative point: The Simonburn B&B website and Expedia who we booked through, DON'T say there is only 1 shared bathroom between... More

We have just spent two lovely nights at this delightful B&B. It is a very peaceful haven, which is ideally located to all the historic attractions. The owner is very welcoming and friendly and made us us feel at home.

Simonburn is quiet and peaceful and away from it all; you'll need a car unless Anne is picking you up from Hadrian's wall. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated, breakfast was delicious and Anne made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

A truly warm welcome from Ann, picking us up from our walk, and returning us to start the next day. Beautiful surroundings deep in a quiet corner of England; good food, comfortable rooms and a most obliging and informative hostess.

Lovely stay; gracious hostess; Far from the Madding Crowd. Great dinner and informative conversation. Lots of available information about the history of the town and general location. Hope to stay here again!

3 adults & 2 children spent 2 tranquil nights in Simonburn. Beautiful accommodation, clean and well maintained. Lovely garden, breakfasts, surroundings. Anne the hostess could not have been more friendly or helpful. We would all like to go back again , what a find.

Thinking of stepping back in time? Then this village could be the place for you. Quiet, friendly and quaint (there is no pub) the tearoom and B & B (run by Anne) is a great find. Very picturesque, sublimely quiet (promotes rest). Its a delight. Rooms are large and classic. You are guaranteed a good night's sleep and hearty breakfast.... More

Came across this very pleasant tea room whilst out for a drive and looking for somewhere to eat. As soon as we entered we were greeted by two lovely young friendly female staff who escorted us to our table. Our order, obviously partly consisting of the famous freshly made scones (made by Ann, the owner), was soon delivered with our... More

I came across this B&B when searching for somewhere to stay near Hexham. A lot of other option had been more expensive. I opted for Simonburn B&B, £60 for a twin room for one night. We arrived about 7pm to a warm welcome, we were shown our room up the steep steps leading upstairs (a family room). It was spacious,... More
