Chose this inn as it was half-way on the route home and had good reviews - and we were very happy with the decision. Room provided was more than adequate for a single night's stay with free wifi and Freesat TV provided. We were worried that our room overlooked the beer garden and the 'smoking tent' but even with the... More

We stopped for a meal and drinks as it looked a traditional UK pub and we had used before. Although there was a wedding on we were really looked after. The wedding was in the gardens and looked great but we were still given a great meal although service was a bit slower than normal. As ever Rob was very... More

Had a two night stay, in this quiet little village, lovely big garden, great food and very good service, staff all very accommodating. Clean tidy room massive breakfast portions. (Didn't need to eat all day) Rob the landlord is one of a kind, i can honestly say we will be returning.

Came across the Stags Head by chance on a return journey from a weekend away. From walking in the door all the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, great choices on the menu which made ordering difficult as we could have eaten it all! The food was amazing and service outstanding too, local and fresh ingredients clearly used, perfectly cooked.... More

Found this little pub on our way to a country fair in kettering. Food was fresh cooked very tasty. Staff very nice and understanding as we had 3 children with us. Good choice of real ales to choose from. Will return if in area. Jef and pearl.

FANTASTIC lunch. nothing was to much trouble. the food was 100% the staff on hand but not overbearing. Robert the owner / manager had time for a word. which was... More

I've stayed at the stags head on business for the last 6 months and right from the start was made to feel very welcome. Rob and his staff were excellent looking after myself and a co worker throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a good supply of tea and coffee. As you could imagine being there for... More

A welcoming place with the staff being very friendly, there was good beer, nice room with TV and I had a very good nights sleep. In the morning the breakfast was yummy and plenty of it. The views surrounding the area were beautiful.

My husband, daughter and I stayed in The Stag's Head for a night and we loved it. Very warm welcome, rooms were cosy and comfortable, breakfast was delicious. Excellent value. The Landlord was so helpful and considerate. Our son is living and working nearby and he spends many evenings in The Stag's Head and had recommended it to us. We... More
