En route to Northampton I finished reading Gyles Brandreths book - The 7 Secrets of Happiness - it should read 8 - because here it is! A stay at Coton Lodge is better than many uber starred hotels. Jo & Peter are great hosts - Jo should come bottled and would be on our 'who would you invite to dinner'... More

Jo and Peter couldn’t have been more pleasant as they described the activities at their sheep farm B&B, known as Coton Lodge. Jo gave us a fascinating introduction to farming and, in particular, the raising and caring of their 450 sheep. Their beautiful old country house had been in Jo’s family for decades and was well-appointed with antiques and wonderful... More

Coton Lodge exceeded my expectations! how wonderful is that. If you enjoy peace and tranquility, a beautiful old house, and lovely gardens, all in a rural setting, then THIS is the place for you. I shared the Rose Room with my mother and everything was perfect, from the very comfortable beds, to the spotless bathroom. The only 'disturbance' was the... More

Staying at Coton Lodge was a highlight of our recent trip to England. The whole house is lovely and our room was large and comfortable and had a beautiful view. Great amenities: tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates in the room; toiletries in the bathroom. Unlike many English showers, ours had plenty of power. Delicious breakfast carried us through till dinner.... More

This, without any shadow of doubt, is the best most luxurious B&B we have ever stayed in. A lovely, peaceful rural location sets the scene where a warm welcome awaits you. Our room was light and airy and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable with top quality linen and super thick towels in the bathroom. Plenty of hanging space... More

Driving up the lane through the working farm gives no indication of just what a lovely B&B awaits you. The house is beautiful with lovely proportions and original features, surrounded by gardens, vistas of fields and animals. My room was a generous size and was tastefully furnished with antiques and a very comfortable bed. The en-suite was modern and luxurious... More

We were looking for somewhere nice to stay close to Althorp and wanted to find a touch of luxury with a personal touch. Coton Lodge certainly delivered! The trip was a treat for my elderly mother who like us was impressed by the immaculate and tasteful decor and furnishings in the bedrooms and the luxurious feel of the bathrooms. Jo... More

This has to be the best B and B I stay at. Enjoyed many visits but have not commented up to now as I don't want to lose my opportunity to stay here. Absolutely perfect. Wonderful hosts in Jo and Peter who I like to think are now friends. Lovely spacious rooms with extra touches that make it feel special.... More
