we stayed here to go to the silverstone classic,we were greeted by a very sweet girl, who showed us to our room, over looking the railway,[having said that the last train was on friday night and we did not hear any more after that] the barman had a very sour look on his face, which only changed the next night after i... more

I stayed for two nights. The room was basic, but fine. Hot water took ages to reach the shower but no real problem. What surprised and dissapointed me was the fact that during my stay my room was never cleaned,. Waste bins were not emptied and bed was not made. I just wonder why...yes I can do all the above... more

Booked 24 hours before via laterooms, although hotel website said no vacancies. Very welcoming hotel - liked the decor: lots of burnt orange and purple. Room spacious, bed comfortable with nice bedlinen. Toiletries nothing to write home about but adequate. Shower could have been a little more powerful and the hot water took a while to arrive. Food in the... more

Ok where to start!! We had the misfortune of staying in the Walnut Tree Inn for just one night (that was enough!) On arrival to the hotel we were greeted by the 16:15 train to Rugby, to say the railway line was close is an understament!! Trains then continued running every 15 mins or so, which did become a bit... more

I had the pleasure of staying at the Walnut Tree Inn over a period of 5 weeks and found the hotel perfect for my needs. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. I was working in Northampton and struggled to find somewhere that provided good food and accommodation at a price cheaper than the local Holiday Inn Express. The... more

We arrived at the hotel on a Friday evening and despite being next to a very ugly main line track (literally oposite the hotel) the reception and rooms looked very pleasant. However there were no staff to meet and greet and we eventually went through to the bar to be greeted by a very racous and load bunch at the... more

What a great little hotel. About 10 minutes from the M1 (junction 15) and 5 minutes from the A43 this is certainly a great find. The rooms, a little bit small but not uncomfortably so, have recently been refurbished and have been done so to a good standard. The bed was very comfortable, the best I have slept in at... more

My husband and I stayed at The Walnut Tree for 5 nights for a cricket break this month. The hotel was taken over approx 12 months ago and renovated and, although custom is a little on the slow side we could find nothing to fault the dining or service. They are currently doing more local advertising which appeared to be... more

Had dinner at the Walnut Tree a couple of weeks ago and couldn't fault it. Fantastic menu. Wonderfully cooked food. The sticky toffee pudding was out of this world. Found the staff polite, friendly and helpful. Liked it so much that we have booked it as our wedding venue in September this year. more

I have recently been to the Walnut Tree Inn for the second or third time. Although quiet due to the time of year I found that this beautiful little hotel that is set off of the beaten track, very comfortable with very friendly staff, well kept real ales and the dinner menu which is the one on the Walnut Tree... more
