Stayed for two nights for a recent wedding. Room was nice, not modern but fitted in with the hotel style. We ate in the bar the first evening and although lovely the portions are not large. In retiring to bed that evening we had a little giggle as the room shook as we noticed the first train pass by our... More

We booked 2 rooms to attend a wedding reception.I was told at the time there were few rooms available and only superior rooms were left. There were no wedding guest reductions in the prices of the rooms either and I was told it was not their policy to reduce the prices of the rooms for wedding guests.Breakfast was however, included .We... Many thanks for your comments, which have been taken into consideration and acted upon. We feel, however, that we should respond to breakfast issues. We are only a small hotel and therefore it is not possible to offer the whole range of breakfast options one would normally expect in a larger hotel. What we do offer is a breakfast cooked... More

Booked by a colleague, when we arrived we thought how nice we'd crossed a few canals and it was in a nice area. The hotel is clean with nice bar and restaurant. The rooms we had were at the front of the hotel. With the weather being very warm the window was open. Within minutes you could hear a loud... More

My partner and I stayed here for one night on our way to Suffolk .We had a superior room at the rear of the Inn as reviews on here mentioned a very noisy train service running past the front of the Inn to be quite honest the first train we heard was 6.30 in the morn !The room was very... More

Stayed one night on business and enjoyed a warm welcome and great service. Good location about 20 mins drive from the centre of Northampton, in a rural setting. Well thought out decor gives this old building a contemporary feel. Good luck for me as Wednesday night is steak night and I enjoyed a fabulous rib eye steak, cooked to perfection.... More

Best Sunday lunch and amazing Yorkshire puddings. Comfortable beds, clean rooms and friendly staff! Yes it is near the railway but you soon forget, even in the garden. The Nutstock festival is also a brilliant atmosphere and would recommend a visit, even if it is just for the food! Not our first visit and definitely won't be the last!! :)

We booked the function room for a wake. I have been to this room for a Christmas party and it was beautifully decorated and cosy. However I was disappointed on this occasion. It was a nice warm day but the room was cold and dreary. We had ordered a selection of sandwiches and cakes with tea and coffee . The... More

I stayed here whilst attending a 50th birthday for a friend. The staff were helpful and attentive. The place is clean and tidy and well worth the money I paid. My only gripe was it took a while (3 mins)for the hot water to reach the room for a shower. Although to be fair the staff pointed this out to... More

We found this pub bed and breakfast via Late rooms.com, we had a lovely stay and food. The rooms were standard and were adequate enough although not very big. They had evening entertainment on free on the night we stayed which was an added bonus as there was nowhere around entertainment wise. The staff were friendly and food excellent although... More

This Inn is very cosy, with clean and spacious rooms. The food was exceptional on the night we ate. It is very isolated and you need to car to get to it. Would recommend but make sure you get room at the back as the only negative if the train noise.
