I always use Travelodge where possible and it is rare to find a bad one - but this is one. The outside of the building was grubby and needs a good clean. On entering the stairwell / lift area there was a strong overpowering smell - not a foul smell but one that shouldn't be there anyway. The room was... More

Stayed here arrived late at night and found that there was no parking not even in nearby streets. Had to walk about 300 metres and take the risk of leaving my car in an open and not secure car park overnight. The rooms were shabby and not even freeview on TV. wifi was expensive overall a bad location for a... More

Good town centre location but don't pay more than £40 for a stay. No parking, only 1 towel, no air con, some light penetration from the curtains, shower curtain that puts water onto the bathroom floor, no bath, you have to ask for extra pillows, tea and coffee for 1 person only.

Stayed midweek for 3 nights on business trip, as was cheaper and less hassle to travel home every night. My room was basic and a little scruffy around the edges in places. (like modern student flat) thought it was tidy and clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly and accommodating. When returning from work to a lovely tidied room, the... More

This Travelodge ticked all the boxes for its location and staff friendly and efficient. However, the high ceilinged rooms lacked any character and with windows locked shut, the atmosphere was not all that good. The bathroom was as expected, small and clean. The advertised "breakfast boxes" were not sufficiently tempting, so breakfast in a local cafe was order of the... More

I booked the Travelodge Upton in October 2013 for a one night stay March 1st prior to the Silverstone Half Marathon. I received a phone call at 20.05 advising that my booking couldn't be honoured and that I would have to be moved to Northampton Central. I was advised that I would receive a text message advising the new postcode... More

We’re really sorry to learn about the poor experience you had. It is regrettable you were relocated on this occasion Richard C; unfortunately we had an unexpected take up of arrivals at the hotel. Standard travelodge standard, was given a family room for some reason so had lots of space. Room was clean and tidy, bathroom same. TV had no remote but staff got me one straight away. Michelle in reception was very helpful and friendly. No restaurant so if you want breakfast it's a breakfast box that they leave outside your door at... More

We stayed in the Travelodge as we was going out in northampton for a friends birthday and the clubs were within short walking distance which was really good. Doors were locked at a certain time so strangers couldnt come in the hotel, Even though there was loads of people staying in the hotel that was clubbing, we got a good... More

Stayed here for one night. Met all our requirements and was of a higher than usually expected standard for Travelodge - that's not moaning, you get what you pay for. The hotel was excellently situated for a stay in Northampton, out of the door and in to the town. The receptionist on duty when we stayed was excellent, really pleasant... More

We stayed one night to visit the theatre and would visit again. Good value for the price, one can't expect 5* but was clean and the staff were extremely helpful. All we needed for one night stay.. was conveniently situated for the lovely town with lots of good shopping and a visit to the theatre. Lots of good eating places... More
