We stayed here for one night whilst attending a nearby wedding. We had a very friendly check-in, allocated our room at 1pm. The room itself was fine, what we expected for an average holiday inn. The decor was a little outdated and I felt the whole place would benefit from a refurb. However, the room was clean (except the filthy... more

It never augurs well when you have to wait 5 minutes to check in while two of the staff finish an obviously non work related conversation. If I hadn't already paid up front, I might well have turned round at that point and to be frank it would have been worth losing the money to do so. When I eventually... more

When we checked in the member of staff was ok, but she didn't explain that without giving your credit card details for extras you would be made to pay for your meal before you ate it! When we went to the bar in the evening the bar staff looked extreamly stressed. It took them ages to serve us and when... more

Very good value for money (we paid £49.00 for a family of four, including breakfast), lovely friendly staff and tasty food but family room very small with sloping roof and not enough room to swing a cat! Spotlessly clean but soft furnishings in bedroom very 80s and bathroom fittings dated. Convenient for motorway access but a little noisy at night.... more

The hotel was generally 'tired'. The resturant menue was the same (identical) as the bar menue and the food was poor. I had a 'curry' and it was swimming in water; the only way to eat it was with a spoon. Two guests on the table next to me got up and walked out complaining bitterly. The area behind the... more

Having just managed to catch up on my sleep and with a clearer head, I thought I would write this review. We were attending a wedding in the local area (not a Holiday Inn) and paid £60 after quoting the name of the wedding couple. Check in was OK, friendly staff at that time. Room was fairly dated but clean... more

I stay at Holiday Inns quite regularly because of work and last stayed at this one last Autumn. The check in is very quick and efficient and what you would expect at a HI hotel. The hotel itself though could do with a bit of a revamp as it is looking a bit tired. The roms are clean and tidy... more

I have staved here twice this year, about 2 weeks apart in the autumn. First of all and this is key, book early on the holiday inn website and get a deal. The walk in rate is a huge £130 (260 $US) but you can get a night in there for half that amount. The rooms are a basic size... more

On arrival we were met by a very freindly receptionist, who made us very welcome. we had dinner at the hotel which was very good, and again the staff were very... more
