Its a strange one this and a bit sad really. The 4 of us were in two neighbouring twin rooms - one was OK and one wasn't. The hotel was booked on booking.com where it has something like an 8.1 score and shows itself as a grand looking manor house. Now there *is* a manor house, but that's only half... More

Quite simply the worst place I have ever stayed in, and I've been held prisoner in Columbia. We were in a block in the carpark where cigarette smoke permiated thorough the open window constantly. The room smelt of dead bodies and dogs, or perhaps it was dead dogs; the beds and head-boards were dirty and stained; the bathroom door didn't... More

Booked what i thought looked a reasonable hotel. Reality was a room in an annexe in a car park, very basic room made worse by the fact that a member of staff spent most of the night stood outside smoking and drinking cans of Fosters. The cigarette butts were everywhere outside most doors of the hotel. The receptionist was very... More

We were actually scared when the entrance appeared behind the trees. I had to park and double check I'd turned up at the place I'd booked as the picture definitely didn't match that on the booking.com website. The reception wasn't very friendly. We booked a twin room on a fairly last minute booking as we were visiting the University, thank... More

I can honestly say this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Very run down and extremely poor. Its not an experience I want to repeat ever again in my lifetime. The room was smelly and quite frankly appalling. The bathroom was so bad that both myself and my friend went to a local health club for a... More

This hotel is terrible. We were staying in the Annex in what was supposed to be double room; I'm convinced this was a single room with a double bed put into the alcove and just one bedside table - no room for another table on the other side. There was one light beside the room mirror, the cables for the... More

I had the misfortune to stay in this hotel 13th May 2014, I checked in late, whilst checking in there was a customer at reception changing rooms because hers was unsatisfactory, they told her she had the last available room in the hotel, I joked that I hoped my room was not the one she had vacated. I quickly dropped... More

Main reception area is ok but when looking for my room went into th Bar area this was about 5pm, lights off and really dingy. Room was ok, it di look clean and comfy bed but just ok, this... More

Started with checking in and realising room was in a separate building altogether. Felt isolated as I was travelling alone. Had a meal in the bar which was something heated up in a microwave, so was shrivelled and not pleasant tasting. Didn't eat there again. In the room there was not enough tea and coffee, the shower was on one... More

Stayed here a few times, always been relatively loyal despite the reputation. Final straw was the rude receptionist. 14.4.14 (morning). Unclean, lots of building work which it is desperate for, and empty. None hotspot for working girls.!! Not family friendly, certainly do not recommend to friends
