I stayed for the weekend for my partners Birthday and took the Bed, Breakfast and Evening meal option. It was well worth the money and the hosts made a fuss of us and really made us feel at home. I will stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. First class! more

Really nice Guest House, with the choice of an evening meal. Excellent real home cooking. Rooms very comfortable. Clients very well looked after. Good location point for many tourist attraction places to visit. Great for people that like walking the Yorkshire Dales,or leisurely site seeing. Would definitely book again. more

We were greeted by Sally & Dave our hosts for a 5 night stay who at once made us very welcome. Their hospitality was very warming, making you feel like one of the family. Sally & Dave run the Thorngarth as a joint venture and nothing is too much trouble to make you comfortable. The option of an evening meal... more

Sally and David made us very welcome in their home. Sally was very accomodating to us with meals. My husband has quite a few food allergies and she managed to make meals that he could eat, and enjoy. In fact I think he has put weight on this holiday, which is unusual for him. The house is very comfortable and... more

A group of us (8 in total) had an excellent stay with Dave and Sally at the Thorngarth Guest House. The comfort is great for us before and after a hard race like the Three Peaks Cyclo Cross and we were indebted to Sally for brilliant pre-race food - excellent quality of food and generous helpings (too much for me... more

Myself, Jon Wedger, Bomber, Jonno and Dave Parish stayed here 23/5 October as part of our 3 Yorkshire Peaks challenge. From the very first minute Dave was friendly, offering us a beer and a seat by the warm fire. He also gave usthe use of the drying room when we got back absolutely soaking wet on the Saturday. Nothing was... more

Just back from a great weekend at Thorngarth, a beautifully kept large country house. Sally and Dave are great hosts, very friendly and welcoming and the excellent breakfasts were enough to see us all the way up a very wet and wild Ingleborough. Dave even dropped us off at the start of the walk in Clapham so we didn't have... more

I spent a weekend at Thorngarth with a group of friends. From the minute I walked in the front door I was welcomed by Sally and David as a friend. I enjoyed tea and carrot cake on arrival with Sally, who took time out from cooking to sit and chat. The home cooked food was delicious, the beds comfy enough... more
