Stayed here with a friend for a budget weekend so guess I can't complain too much! The staff were very pleasant I have to say. The evening meal however was not up to scratch. We ate in the hotel on the first night and we coiuld have been eating anything! Again as this was free, I feel a bit ungracious... more

Stayed for one night at the hotel with my mum. We were visiting the local area and the hotel was conveniently located. Chose this hotel over a local B & B as I liked the idea of staying in the local Hall but was disappointed with this. The grounds were extensive and well kept, beautiful in fact but the accommodation... more

The staff throughout were most efficient and friendly, and the rooms were spotlessly clean and well serviced. The restruant menue was varied enough to give excellent choice, and the quality of food and cooking was second to none. All in all the 2 day break package was good value for money, and if I had a need to visit the... more

Have just spent a week at Burn Hall for a training course food, room and grounds were very pleasant. Had no problems with any staff dealt with and didn't see or here anyone else having problems. Lots of people there for training courses but they were no problem and most were studying by 2100hrs if you are having evening meal... more

On the face of it, this looks like a hotel with character. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving and the main rooms are in a modern motel-like extension off to the side. Although there's a lot of parking, none of it is particularly close to the entrance. The staff were very friendly and helpful though. The room itself was clean but... more

We booked online and got what I felt was a good deal, 3 nights BB, with an evening meal on 1 night. Much of what has been said about this hotel already is quite accurate. The rooms are small with little character, but we didn’t spend much time in the room. The character of the rest of the hotel hasn’t... more

Stayed for the Friday/Saturday night 7/8th Aug 09. Great hotel, staff friendly, drinks very reseaonable as it is a hotel. Only downside was they had a wedding on the Fiday & Saturday night and it got busy. more

My husband and I stayed at Burn Hall Hotel as part of a wedding party. On arrival the hotel wasn't at all what I expected. The grounds are lovely but with a name like Burn Hall Hotel I expected something a little grander. From the outside the place looks like sheltered accomodation! Our room was clean and well maintained but... more

Was pleased to get two rooms booked for over Easter for a reasonable rate with breakfast included. The rooms were in a big modern chunk added on to the building and we were quite a way from the reception, the rooms were small and the double bed was very small, I think they had recently been refurbished, the plastic cover... more

Stayed there three times now, and have always been met with friendly Yorkshire charm from the staff. The hotel has a lovely feel to it, very clean, warm and comfortable..home from home, but we still felt very special with the service we received. Loved the glass roofed extension, feeling warm and cosy on the inside while the very cold weather... more
