We stayed here for a few nights when my son went to visit the University and had a wonderful time. It was right on a bus route and saved having to drive into York Town Centre. Ideally located for walking into the centre - less than 10 minutes. Clean ,comfortable rooms and Vera is the perfect landlady - friendly, knowledgable and welcoming. Fantastic that there is parking as well. We have no hesitation in recommending Ardmore. more

Stayed at the Adrmore for a two night break whilst up in York for the horse racing and a bit of sightseeing. Vera the landlady is a very bubbly person who makes you feel most welcome. We were looking for a B&B in York for one night (a Saturday) which is about as rare as finding hens teeth. Nearly all places require you to book for 2 nights minimum at the weekend or you can only book at the last minute for one night. Thankfully this place does take one night bookings.
