Dilys went out of her way to make our short stay most enjoyable. She purchased special items for my wife's dietary needs. Lent us her maps and guide books of York and gave us much relevant information. The Rose Room was large, airy and the bed was enormous and very comfortable. Her Full English breakfast was a delight to eat. more

Thanks for Dilys for a brilliant stay - as usual. Ordering breakfast on arrival might seem a bit odd to some, but this is obviously a small B&B so gives the admirable hostess time to make sure she has fresh supplies for the morning. No freezer/microwave here!! We love York - and No 40 - so will see you again more
