I stayed here is a single traveller. It was easy to find, had on-site parking. Lovely lounge area with daily papers, separate bar area with very reasonably priced wine! Staff very good. Breakfast paid for as extra but freshly cooked for me and happy with. B&B has a lovely garden with seating and tables if you wish to use. Single... More

We stayed for one night, 4 adults for a night out in one room. The room was a good size and clean, the double bed was Definately bigger and the two singles which we expected to be sofa or cater for children were a standard single size. The room didn't feel cramped. Also they remembered 4 sets of towels, tea... More

Stayed here with my other half for one night. We had a "Superior room" on the 3rd floor, very tired and dated, evidence of water damage on ceiling. Bathroom was shabby, fan not working and window wouldn't open. In our opinion definitely not a four star B&B. Overpriced! Plus side - Receptionist extremely helpful and owners pleasant, breakfast was nice... More

We are very sorry to hear about your experience while staying at The York Priory. Our Superior rooms are defined by floor space and bed size, and the extras included such as Sky TV movie package. They are designed for a longer stay, compared to our Classic doubles that are more compact in size and designed for a shorter/over-night stay.... More

Stay here 5 or 6 times a year its like going home Liz and staff are brilliant. Breakfast really sets you up for the day. Only a five minute walk along the river and you are into the town centre. Rooms are lovely and clean and nothing is too much trouble for Liz and the team. Cant wait for our... More

Came here for a one night stay, was warmly greeted upon arrival and was given a thorough run down on all the facilities at the hotel and surrounding area. Our room was clean, quiet and had good facilities in it! The 24 hour key service was excellent too! The staff were lovely and polite and would definitely recommend anyone to... More

Stayed here for the Music Weekend at York Races, having read the tripadvisor reviews we were slightly unsure what the hotel would be like. As has been said before the hotel is a bit dated but it actually goes with the style of the building, everything is very clean and the welcome you receive from front desk staff is great.... More

Stayed at the York Priory over the weekend of the Tour De France in Yorkshire, and found it to be an ideal base, not only for seeing the two stages of The Tour, but also for York in general. The hotel is a little dated, but very clean and comfortable, and I found all the staff to be very friendly... More
