The hotel is on a lovely residential street with off street parking. First impressions were that the staff were very helpful and the building had lots of lovely original features. It was easy to find and a short stroll into the city which is what we did as soon as we arrived. When we got back to our room (which... More

Not a bad little hotel / B and B with nicely appointed rooms. Breakfast was plentiful but not as tasty as it could be. Quite expensive but the level of decor is quite high. Easy walking distance out of walled city centre down a quiet side street.

My sister, niece and myself stayed there for one night last weekend and were not disappointed. Room was nice and big enough for the three of us, beds were comfortable, bathroom was perfect, nice shower. Breakfast was very good indeed but the best part of this hotel is its proximity to York Minster, only 10 minutes walk. Overall it was... More

My hubby and I stayed in room 7 for two nights. On the surface the room looked lovely and modern with a hint of vintage with some of the furniture. Upon closer inspection, the nice feature wall paper is coming off the walls, there were dirty shoe marks on the walls and the bedroom window was grimy. The radiator knob... More

We stayed here one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's a lovely older home and I was a little nervous about staying there with our two small boys (ages 1 and 4), but the staff was kind to us and our children. We brought our own travel cot, but they said they could have provided one as well. The... More

Stay in many bed and breakfast this hotel was warm and welcoming , the room no. 3 was perfect in every way great comfy bed. The only down size got woken up by people walking about pipes and people using there bathrooms till early hours , guess you get this in all bed and breakfast. The breakfast was brilliant.

My Husband booked this Boutique Hotel as a treat for my 40th Birthday. The Victorian house is very impressive on arrival, and at £120 per night, it should be! However, when checking in we were told that there had been a problem with the room and some damage had been done by the previous occupants (Room 10 -Honeymoon suite). The... More
