This is a very good value guest house - with a truly brilliant breakfast. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. Our room was at the back and was very comfortable. Close to York city centre - especially the Minster. Recommend the newly refurbished prison section at York Castle Museum - very high quality interpretation. more

i recently stayed at the Bronte Guest House and it was fantastic. the minute you walked through the door the owners were very accomodating. the bedroom was lovely with ample storage and everything you needed. there was even a steam train outside our window!!! perfect location as it is away from the centre but only about a 10 minute walk... more

This is our third stay at the Bronte Guest House, and have booked again later this year... cannot fault anything, mick and mandy are very friendly and always helpful. It takes about 10-15mins to walk into the main city.. Looking forward to staying again. more

I stayed here for 3 nights and wished I could have stayed longer, as it was hard to leave this wonderful corner of York. From the moment of arrival Mandy made us so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.
