We stayed at St Raphael for 2 nights for a birthday trip to York after my partner read the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. We stayed in Goodramgate(room) on the first floor. It was very comfortable and very quiet. Spotlessly clean and nicely furnished, it was welcoming and cosy. There were generous tea/coffee facilities in the room... More

Were travelling south from Scotland to Cambridge and called for a next-to-the last minute stop in York. Our first place we called was full, but they strongly recommended St. Raphael's-- and we were glad they did. Arrived late in the evening, but found the house with no problem. Easy check in via their unique automated check in system (you'll have... More

We spent an excellent night in a very comfortable and welcoming guest house. All the information given to us about restaurants and bars was very welcome and useful, and Dom and Zoe could not have been kinder. The rooms are very attractive, the beds comfortable and the breakfast superb. More

I have just come back from a couple of days in York and had to write a review about St raphaels. Chose St Raphael based on other reviews here and we were really happy with our choice. Had a fantastic stay (Minster family room) and really enjoyed meeting Zoe, Dom and Ollie. Room was lovely, plenty of space for 3, comfy beds and a spotlessly clean and modern bathroom ensuite. Cooked breakfasts were awesome (thanks Dom!) and also enjoyed the fresh... More
