Wow! What a fantastic place to stay. The attention to detail made it feel like a luxury hotel - room spray, bath/shower gel, body lotion all provided. Lashes of really hot water. Decor clean and fresh and you choose what you wanted to breakfast from a menu sheet. Will certainly stay again when next in York. more

Good location with a nice walk along the river into York. There is a bus stop close by if you aren’t feeling energetic! The room was very clean, well appointed and tastefully furnished. The hosts were lovely and friendly and very helpful as to where to visit etc. The breakfasts were gorgeous. more

Ashbourne House is a rare thing - a B&B in York which doesn't insist on 2-night bookings. We just wanted one night, and found the accommodation, breakfast and service excellent. Ashbourne House is a small family run guest house on the outskirts of York with good bus service to the centre, or 20mins walk. The owners Paul and Julie give a high quality and thoughtful service. Everything is spotlessly clean, bed very comfortable, excellent breakfast. more

Wonderful little guest house situated only 5-6 mins by bus/taxi from the city centre. This guest house is superb,very easy to find on main road with free off road parking.About 30 min stroll to city centre or a regular bus is available.Rooms are beautiful,just like home,breakfasts are excellent and very good choice.Book up before you miss out.Will definetly return to this B & B. more

Paul and Julie are the perfect hosts and offered lots of help and guidance for relative strangers to York. The hotel is well positioned for visiting attractions.
