This was a great find in York for us, initially because it had parking so close and also because of it being walking distance to so much of the city. The staff were amazing, very kind and hospitable and really went the extra mile to make it such a pleasant visit. The room was well laid out with everything we... More

This B&B was conveniently located just a couple of blocks from the York Minster and the rest of the town. They had a very good breakfast and had limited car parking. The room was very nice, clean, and quiet. The host were very helpful and provided us with a pass that gave us discounts.

A convenient location with a friendly staff. Our room was spacious enough with a nice sized bathroom. Everything was clean and our room was quiet. A nice Lounge to relax in downstairs. Yummy baked snacks in the tin in our room upon arrival were a nice touch. Luggage racks are available upon request. Free parking and WiFi. We did not... More

We stayed here for a weekend at the end of May & found it excellent, the staff were all very friendly & accommodating, our room overlooked the rear courtyard which has a nice seating area. The decor in the room was fresh, everything was spotless, tea & coffee facilities as well, including a couple of slices of cake in the... More

I have stayed at this B&B several times and have always received good service. The rooms are spotless with great attention to detail. The food is fabulous, with something for everyone. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a great base for exploring York. Well done The Hazelwood !!

I had a great 3-night stay at the Hazelwood in April. The staff was super friendly and helpful, warmly welcoming me at check-in, booking me a taxi to the station for my departure morning, and even printing off a ticket confirmation for me. Breakfast consisted of a great assortment of cold and cooked offerings, always served with a smile. Room... More

Wonderful stay in York. Close and easy walk to the Minster and most all other attractions. Great breakfast and welcoming staff. They did our laundry and did a wonderful job for a reasonable cost! I love a B &B that is welcoming, helpful and friendly but yet still allows us our space. They were just this. A note of advise... More

Only stayed one night. Found the premises clean and the staff attentive. We stayed in the lower ground floor which was comfortable and spacious. The lounge situated next door was inviting and comfortable with plenty of reading matter. Breakfast was enjoyable. The only downside was the parking situated at the rear of the property. We were lucky as not all... More

We spent 3 nights here and had a lovely ground floor room which was very comfortable. It is a bit strange having the washbasin in the room rather than with the shower and toilet but not a problem. Breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. Everything was within easy walking distance although with luggage a taxi to and from the... More

Spotlessly clean and perfectly located for all the attractions of York. We were in room 16 at the top of a flight of long stairs. Room tastefully decorated. Washbasin in room outside of the toilet and loud extract fan in toilet needs fixing. Breakfast at £12 is way to expensive, but there are plenty of reasonable cafes around the corner.WiFi... More
