Have just returned from a three night stay at this little gem. Rooms are spotless and Brian the owner was a pleasure to meet and a mind of information. The breakfast was more than ample which kept us going all day. The bonus of parking was a big plus in our opinion and will definitely stay here on our next... More

We had a small room on ground floor, quaint but clean and comfy. Couple of nice easy chairs by window. Short walk to Minster, and center of York, and museums and park and river. Five minute walk from train station (find the pedestrian walkway). Delicious and hearty breakfasts. Host Brian was charming and attentive. Service excellent. Will stay again when... More

The ensuite was very small but functional and clean. Sadly on my last day the owner confronted me about some damage to the headboard which was not of my doing. He... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in may 2015. The guest house has a great location, just five minutes walk into the centre of York along a road of pleasant bars and restaurants. It is also very short walk to the train station which was handy for catching a shuttle bus to the racecourse. The free parking right In front... More

Had a 2 night stay here. Lovely clean, well decorated room. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided and a good supply of toiletries. Brian will park your car for you in the small car park at the side of the hotel but it will have to stay there for the duration of your stay otherwise the other vehicles have to be... More

Just came back from a weekend stay in this place and definitely very satisfied. Though situated at a quieter street, it is very close to all the main places you might want to visit in York and just a few minutes walk from just about everything. We requested a bedroom on the low floor as my partner was having sciatic... More
