Crook Lodge was perfectly located for our requirements and convenient for York's many interesting locations. Brian was very helpful in shuffling cars around in the space available and recommending nearby dinner spots. The breakfasts were very good. A train line did pass by our window but did not disturb our sleep. Mike & Margaret

Very welcoming. A short walk from the station and the town. The breakfast was excellent and really nicely served. The owner is very friendly and made every effort to ensure that we had a good stay. The bed and room was very comfortable and the shower room although compact had a good shower. Nicely decorated and the parking worked well.... More

Have just returned from a three night stay at this little gem. Rooms are spotless and Brian the owner was a pleasure to meet and a mind of information. The breakfast was more than ample which kept us going all day. The bonus of parking was a big plus in our opinion and will definitely stay here on our next... More

We had a small room on ground floor, quaint but clean and comfy. Couple of nice easy chairs by window. Short walk to Minster, and center of York, and museums and park and river. Five minute walk from train station (find the pedestrian walkway). Delicious and hearty breakfasts. Host Brian was charming and attentive. Service excellent. Will stay again when... More

Stayed here with friends on a cycling trip. Overall it was a picturesque B&B, and although very close to a railway line, surprisingly didn't cause a problem with noise. The ensuite was very small but functional and clean. Sadly on my last day the owner confronted me about some damage to the headboard which was not of my doing. He... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in may 2015. The guest house has a great location, just five minutes walk into the centre of York along a road of pleasant bars and restaurants. It is also very short walk to the train station which was handy for catching a shuttle bus to the racecourse. The free parking right In front... More
