My friend and I spent three lovely days in York, and stayed at the Crook Lodge. It is a charming guest house and Brian Aiken is an extremely accomodating host. The breakfast is delicious, and everything about the guest house is just perfect.

Crook lodge is conveniently located for the town centre and takes less than 5 minutes to walk there by walking through a nearby beautiful park. The car park is more like a driveway which can fit 2 cars wide and so when you park in the drive, you do get blocked in by other cars. You are requested to leave... More

Very friendly management and staff. Room very hot and had to keep the window closed throughout our stay because of a swarm of horse flies in the honeysuckle outside the window. Owner lent us a fan, but didn't help much. Car parking very odd and had to keep car keys in room so staff can move the car when necessary.... More
