Stayed here with friends on a cycling trip. Overall it was a picturesque B&B, and although very close to a railway line, surprisingly didn't cause a problem with noise. Room very clean, , free wifi connection which is geat,TV with free view channels, Parking satisfactory with the help of Brian, Breakfast excellent with good choice from menu, Location good for Railway Museum, walks along the river banks, The Minster a must for a visit, we will for sure return to Crook Lodge.

We stayed here for 2 nights in may 2015. The guest house has a great location, just five minutes walk into the centre of York along a road of pleasant bars and restaurants. Had a 2 night stay here. Lovely clean, well decorated room. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided and a good supply of toiletries. Brian will park your car for you in the small car park at the side of the hotel but it will have to stay there for the duration of your stay otherwise the other vehicles have to be... More

lovely little one night stay here for my birthday. Loaction is great - within 5 minutes you are in the mesusem gardens by York Minster. Room was nice and cosy. Host - Brian was very friendly and great breakfast!

This is absolutelly the best B&B in all Britain, you can't posibly come to York without staying here! Great service and amazing breakfast! The beds are very confortable, the bathroom very clean. The people treat you very nicely, they are very friendly!

Stayed here for two nights and had another great stay. Brian is a brilliant host! This is in a great location 5-10 minute walk to train station. Brilliant breakfast to set you up for the day. Room clean and tidy everything you could ask for. Will be back again.

Just came back from a weekend stay in this place and definitely very satisfied. Though situated at a quieter street, it is very close to all the main places you might want to visit in York and just a few minutes walk from just about everything. We stayed here for the easter bank holiday and loves it. Similar to all the other reviews: great location nice breakfast (although breakfast finishes at 9.30am which was a bit early for us) Brian was a great host and chatted to us each morning

Me and my Iain stayed here in April and had a great stay, room was so nice and clean, the bed was the most comfortable i have slept in a b&b. Breakfast was tasty and lots of toast too. Brian makes the b&b, his so nice and tells you all about York and good places to eat and go to.... More
