Stayed here for two nights and had another great stay. Brian is a brilliant host! This is in a great location 5-10 minute walk to train station. Brilliant breakfast to set you up for the day. Room clean and tidy everything you could ask for. Will be back again.

Just came back from a weekend stay in this place and definitely very satisfied. Though situated at a quieter street, it is very close to all the main places you might want to visit in York and just a few minutes walk from just about everything. We requested a bedroom on the low floor as my partner was having sciatic... More

We stayed here for the easter bank holiday and loves it. Similar to all the other reviews: great location nice breakfast (although breakfast finishes at 9.30am which was a bit early for us) Brian was a great host and chatted to us each morning

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here for 3 nights on an impromptu visit to York. Excellent location (the house was easy to find too) with a really pleasant enjoyable walk through the Yorkshire museum gardens/park into town, with the alternate equally quick route of along the main road and through the walled gate to York Minster. Excellent to be able to... More

Breakfast was AMAZING- 2 bacon, sausage, egg, beans, tomato, hash brown & black pudding & toast! We were STUFFED every morning and fresh fruit, yoghurt, gosh so much choice, all delicious. Bed is... It was perfect from arrival to departure, we were very comfortable and slept better than at home, the breakfast is just the best you can get. Brian is the perfect host and the staff are just as friendly. We will be back... More

Just spent one night at Crook Lodge. Very central for the town. Parking as well which is a huge bonus in York. Room 5 was small but spent all our time in the town so it was ideal. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely. Brian was very helpful as were all the staff. Have stayed in many places... More
