Stayed for one night, would love to stay for more. Very clean, light room, supplied with free toiletries. Fantastic breakfast choice, better than some we have had in more expensive hotels Was lovely to wake up to the smell of freshly baked bread. Could not fault with this small, friendly B&b. Situated very close to the town center, about 10... More

We were delighted by our choice of B&B for our weekend in York- very friendly and helpful hosts, and fantastic location to walk into York in minutes. We had a very quiet room at the back, although I can't imagine it's noisy at the front either- the road is very quiet. It's an attractive street with traditional Victorian houses, and... More

Stayed at Abbeyfields for 3 nights a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic room with everything you could want, comfy bed and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was amazing, 3 types of freshly baked bread and freshly cooked full Yorkshire breakfast, we had the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on the second morning, it was gorgeous. Couldn't recommend this fantastic b & b... More

This was our first trip to York and Les was extremely helpful providing detailed advice on good places to go and see during our short stay. We followed her advice and we both had a great break in York. The room was very... More

We stayed one night in Abbeyfields on 21st March. I was torn apart between giving 4 or 5 stars. but I will explain my decision later on. The host Les was very polite and friendly. My room was right at the top and I can imagine for some this might pose a problem as there is no lift available. The room... More

Spent two nights at Abbeyfields this week, and could want for nothing! Beautiful crisp white bedding, fresh rose in the room, good quality toiletries, every comfort you could wish for. Plus a little stroll through lovely gardens and you're in the heart of York. AND to wake every morning to so many different sorts of home made bread, well I've... More
