I visited York February 2015 and loved my stay in this gem of a B&B, in a beautiful row of Georgian townhouses from the mid 1800's. It had loads of character, was very comfortable with a great bed/good shower and adequate heating, but what I'll remember the most was the fantastic English breakfast and extremely friendly and helpful staff, who... Great place to stay nice size rooms and on suites and the staff our fantastic and the food is wonderfully done by the Italian cook who is very funny and goes out of his way. There is plenty of parking at the back of the hotel and you are about a 10 minute walk from york city centre. I would... More

Fantastic stay, but room on main road was fairly noisy through the night. Breakfast was TOP NOTCH, and staff were VERY friendly. 9/10. Lovely walk into town and local attractions. Well worth the Viking Museum, but book in advance folks!

I visited York with my wife and 8 months old baby. We chose this hotel for the low cost and we were surprised by the service. Friendly staff, gave us a cot for the baby and were there to help with everything. The breakfast was tasty and filling, including vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend!

lovely convenient place to stay.warm and very clean but the highlight of our two day stay was certainly having great breakfasts cooked by dynamic Pasquale!he has all the presence you would expect from an italian maitre d! He was the cherry on the cake of an already successful stay.will certainly use this hotel again and recommend it to friends.

This is the third time I've stayed here: once on my own for an academic conference at the U. of York, then six months later with my husband for our honeymoon, and again this December for a one year anniversary trip. So the fact that we came all the way from California to stay here is a testament to how... More

Lovely friendly reception on arrival. Very informative on the area and allowed me to park the car next day saving extortionate parking charges in the centre. Nice clean large room. There is noise from the road if you are at the front but the bed was so comfy it didn't affect my sleep. Shower was good and powerful once you... More

Less than10 min walk to the gates of Micklegate and only 10 min from the train station, it's a perfect place to stay. Ample free car parking space, free WiFi, brilliant breakfast and the best coffee so far. The room was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money, friendly staff and owners and we would definitely return. Thank... More

Perfect place to stay. Staff friendly and accommodating, The Location is fine, on bus route, and relatively close to the city centre. Plenty of parking at the rear of the Hotel and access quite good and well sign posted. Nice clean bedroom, excellent cooked breakfast and choices for alternatives, and again staff very good. In my opinion this is a... More
