First time I've been disappointed with TripAdvisor advice: Two us us stayed in ''family room'' number 4 which serves as twin room. We only had two small bags and still found the room cramped. I found this place by accident (had no reservation and my guide book info was obviously out of date as the place i was trying to find didn't exist!) and boy was I lucky! This is an excellent all-rounder and can easily cater for the wide range and number of guests it holds at any one time. We booked relatively late for a large group - and had unconfirmed numbers right up to the day itself - but the friendly and helpful management style will facilitate any group. I have now stayed at the Hedley House on a number of occasions for work and pleasure. There are no five star facilities but who need them when the friendliness of the staff is so good. There is nothing they will not do to make your stay special, it could be the homemade banana cake, the "to die for" chocolate... more

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights to celebrate my 40th birthday in April, we found the hotel on tripadvisor and would definately recommend anyone to stay there.
