Booked this in April for stay for York races and felt that like all hotels in York, prices increased! We paid £98.50 for one night and was not worth it - maybe £40 value but even that pushing it. Room was small and the shower room very cosy- I am not a big chap but struggled in the shower and... More

I enjoyed my stay here, its a cheap and cheerful hotel. You get what you pay for £22.50 a night is not going to get you a 5* hotel, so if you want that, then prepare to pay the price! The bed was clean, the towels were clean, the bathroom was clean. There was a new kettle which was clean... More

We paid for two nights in a room which would cater for four women, we were in a very shoddy room with two beds grounded and a very unstable bunk bed. Whenever my particularly thin friends attempted to board the top bunk, it started to fall over. My bed, however was comfortable. The TV worked fine, up to date however... More

Wasn't expecting anything fancy as read reviews prior to booking but was the only place we could get on a very last. Minute.com visit. BUT!! Omg! It was even dirtier than reviews stated! dont ever be in rooms 10,11 or 12! Top floor!! Near on 70 steps to climb with cases!! Room basic, electric point in room covered in duct... More

My first impression of Blossoms is that the garden area is in need of tidying, with overgrown bushes making it look as if the owners are trying to hide the place. I then walked up the steps to find guests names on envelops stuck to the door. So customer relations is not high on the priority of BLossom's either. The... More

Stayed here over the last weekend of May for a friend's hen party. Was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews. However was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were clean, bed linen was clean, white crisp cotton sheets and quilts. Towels were nice and soft and fluffy. Breakfast was great, choice of cereal, plenty of toast, tea and coffee. Any sort of... More

We had a pleasant stay at blossoms although the hotel is in great need of a refurbishment. Walls are in desperate need of re plastering and fresh decor. Lampshades were brown and dirty on bed side lamps, which was noticeable. We also noticed the smell of foist throughout the hotel and in our room. However, rooms relatively clean, fresh towels... ... I didn't, and I'm very glad I didn't. I stayed at Blossoms last night with 8 of my friends for my 27th Birthday. We had three rooms. After reading the more recent reviews we we're dubious to say the least... However, pleasantly surprised when we arrived. This is very much a 'come and go as you please' sort of... More

After reading some of the reviews we were tempted to cancel our stay. However we did not find the b&b as bad as expected. It was clean and basic- reflected in the price. It was not too far to walk into the city centre.
