I will never, EVER, stay in a Travelodge hotel again. Ever. Bed was too small. Looks like it had replaced a larger bed which had been there previously. Toilet roll holder was broken. (So broken it wasn't actually there) Room was never cleaned properly during the duration of our stay. The window was sealed shut so the room was stuffy.... More

Recently stayed here for a visit to the races. Was a little disappointed upon entering the room, I know these are basic, standard hotels, but one pillow each, no hairdryer & very dated?? It was very hot while there so we left the air con on while we went out for a while. On our return we noticed that the... More

One of the best Travelodges I have stayed at. A central situation for most things in York. As a bonus, from our room we had a view of the Minster over the rooftops.

stayed for a night, we usually have a really good stay here but had a few issues with our duvet-it was like a bus ticket and when we asked for another we were told they could not provide one and we would have to turn the heating up!! how helpful!! they finally gave in at midnight after we badgered them... Paid £19.50 for the room in the sale. It was very central for us, about 7 mins walk from the rail station and about 5 mins to the Shambles crossing the river. There are plenty of restaurants around. We had a room at the back of the hotel and suffered no noise whatsoever. The bed isn't exactly comfy even for... More

No complaints. I wasn't expecting anything fancy, Travelodge are budget hotels, and offer the basics for your needs. Bed comfortable, one plastic bucket chair, a couple of hangers for our coats, plenty of space on the floor to dump our stuff (no drawers or wardrobes). Walk in shower, which was broken, so we had to stand right in the corner... More

Just stayed here one night thank god. The beds let this place down otherwise I may have given 3 star. So uncomfortable, springy and noisy air con. It was clean, had tea and coffee in room and breakfast was good. Very bare room though. I won't use again.

frequent travelodge visiter but beware of this room. room 103. worst night sleep ever in any travelodge ever. three things. firstly the mattress. it like falling into the black hole of calcutta. the wife and i just kept rolling into each other . should be confined to the skip. secondly the stench from the drains in the bathroom. toxic. maybe... Location excellent, four minute walk from centre. Tesco Express and Budgens very close to hotel, which is very handy. Slug and Lettuce 2 minute walk away, they do a great cooked breakfast with drink for £5, and Monday's are 50% off food. Also right near Kings Arms pub (the one that floods), the Original Ghost Walk also starts here too.... More

This is a standard Travelodge, nothing wrong with it all, and it's in a very convenient location near the railway station and York Minster.
