Great quiet location only a short walk to the historic center of York. Everything was perfect, the beds comfortable, breakfast delicious, and Kevin is the perfect hosts.

I have visited Foss Bank guest house twice now and I would visit again. The room I had was very clean and all of the furnishing etc are of a very high standard and good taste. My family stayed for three nights in April. The rooms were bright, clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast with farm fresh eggs. Kevin was enormously helpful. He provided an excellent suggestion for a hike on the moors, Hole of Horcum. Kevin provided an ordnance map, driving directions and told us that there was a great pub en route. There was.

Perfectly located Foss Bank was a clean refreshingly friendly place to stay. Kevin took my husband and I in at the last minute in a family room. Everything was just right - comfortable bed, clean room and veggie sausages for me. Although only stayed one night Kevin was very informative and gave us a voucher for BOGOF for York Dungeons... Lovely house, warm welcome from Kevin with refreshments on arrival. Room and en suite was spotless. Bed and bedding first rate. Our room was at the front and although there was moderate traffic noise it did not disturb our sleep even with the window open. (This is a lovely old house with sash windows). Room was warm and well furnished.... More

We stayed @ FB for 3 nights on the way to my brother's wedding in Northumberland and booked 2 days before coming. It is in a good location near the Minster. Kevin was really welcoming and makes a top cooked English breakfast - the poached eggs were perfect. Fruit salad was excellent and fresh locally sourced juice. He even went... More
