I have stayed at this hotel twice when visiting clients around York and the service has been terrible on both occasions. The food delivered via the room service is cold and is not to the usual Holiday Inn quality. I stay at Holiday Inns globally and I would avoid this hotel next time for sure. more

Not sure where the room pic was taken - but expect something a little older with a one person bathroom where you shuffle around to close the door. The Holiday Inn at York in my opinion is poor value for money. The rooms are small, especially the bathroom which is tiny. The bathroom would also benefit from upgrading / refurbishment. We stayed at the Holiday Inn York for one night on a Trafalgar Tour. While it was a reasonable hotel, I believe that the rooms are in need of a makeover. Having arrived at H I York Tadcaster road which is idealy placed just off the A64. We were surprised at the size of the Hotel. Very nice hoytel, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good. The only downside was the dinner which was only adequate considering the price, it was just like a poor pub meal. The most important message to convey is: Do NOT bother to book an executive room at this hotel.
