Stayed for 2 nights and can honestly say there was nothing we did not enjoy about our stay! Sophie and Maria are just lovely, and the little touches like having umbrellas to borrow if it is raining, to supplying make-up wipes in the room just made the stay that little bit more comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend staying at the... More

My wife and I decided to book a night away in York together at St Denys hotel. This was due to the quality online reviews. From arrival to departure the staff were extremely professional and polite. Advice was given on where to visit , along with recommendations for eating out. The hotel itself was fantastic, room was immaculate with lovely... More

You couldn't ask for a better location in central York with parking. Maria made us feel very welcome to their hotel. Our room was very cosy with a lovely big bed that was most comfortable. The selection for breakfast is excellent. The information I was given on places to eat and drink was most helpful. This was all contained in... More

What a find! This is such a lovely hotel, central but no disturbance from noisy revellers at night as happens at the weekend with several other York hotels. The decor, rooms, breakfast and service provided by the owners are all excellent. The bed was so comfortable and all the little extras like hand made toiletries, wipes, coffee machine, fan etc... This is a small hotel on a side street with a lot of charm. The new owners bring welcoming smiles and very nice service with them. The rooms are charming and the breakfast is wonderful (in a nice space with lots of light). Free wifi and a small car park round out the amenities. It is a short walk from... More

St Deny's is a beautiful, newly redecorated and very stylish hotel. Just 5/10 minutes walk from the town, shambles and sites, with a great choice of cafe/restaurants on the way. The owners were lovely, welcoming and helpful with information and recommendations of where to eat and drink. The room was really comfortable with a big bed, coffee machine, TV and... More
